Tina and I took a leisurely drive to The Dalles today. We took the historic highway from Mosier to The Dalles, and it was beautiful. I wanted to find a new place to eat, so I checked on Google Maps. We didn’t even know that this place was here. You probably wouldn’t find it if you weren’t specifically looking for it. We drove past it the first time and had to turn around. It’s hidden off the road behind another business. The food was awesome and the service was exceptional. I would highly recommend this as a destination dining experience.

This was my first time at Bargeway. My kids from out of town were visiting and we came for lunch! Fantastic experience! The food was fresh and tasted great! The service was perfect! And what a beautiful day to sit outside and listen to the river and the trains rolling past! Thank you to JR and his wife for a wonderful lunch with my kids!!Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu with the requisite crayons and my grandson thoroughly enjoyed his chicken strips…and he can be picky ?

Were only 1 of 2 tables, but the waitress couldn't be bothered to bring our drinks for about 15 minutes after we ordered. Then asked twice for refills, but was ignored both times. Finally got her to acknowledge our request and she said she thought we didn't want any. When ordering, she sounded like she was mansplaining instead of recommending- even though we didn't ask her for recommendations. 2nd bad experience in a row. Won't be wasting our time here again.

Went for a drink and appetizer with a friend on a snowy evening, walked out to cars which were covered in snow and hear a friendly voice behind us asking if we wanted help clearing the snow off of cars. I would have to say this is the first time I have ever eaten at a restaurant and had an employee follow us out and offer such a sweet gesture.

I have to say this experience at the Bargeway Pub was not as good as our first experience. The food was not as memorable well really it will only leave a bad memory. Our waitress was good. But the tomatoes and cucumbers on our sandwich, burger and salad were terrible. I did NOT eat my salad due to the slime the cucumber left on the lettuce. My bill was over $77.00 it was not worth it.?

We had the Road Kill Chicken Sandwich the other day. Our waitress mentioned that this was one of the best on the menu. Well, she was right, it was amazing. The service was fantastic and the place looked great. You can't beat the scenic view of the Columbia River and the gorge.

Waited 30 minutes for food after ordering…..only to see the table that walked in 5 minutes ago get food plated. Servers and management were aloof. 2nd time and last time in the establishment. Save yourself the trouble and go to Casa El Mirador up the street for some real service!

I had been there this summer and it was awesome, they had a band, we sat outside by the river. Food was great. Went back again, colder now, so sat inside. Again good and rinks really good. Prices are reasonable. Had the PB burger both times. Love it
