This family owned restaurant is superb! The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The food is delicious and portions are great. Everything is hot and fresh, you can ask for meals to be spicier if you choose, and you can ask to customize - like we ask for light onion and pay to add broccoli. We really love how consistent everything is. This is the only place we eat Chinese Food in The Dalles, because it is fantastic. Thank you to the owners for working so hard to provide a great experience. Our personal favorites to order are: Spicy Garlic Chicken, pan fried noodles, General Taos Chicken, Orange Chicken, BBQ pork, egg flower soup, Bell Pepper Beef, House Special Lo Mein, Green Bean Chicken, and Curry Chicken.

Wonderful, fresh, delicious and authentic Chinese food served by the most friendly folks ever. Prices are extremely reasonable, and the food is always served promptly and correctly. The restaurant is clean and comfortable, with an atmosphere of welcome from the moment you are greeted by the staff till you are walking out the door. The owner works hard to get to know her regular customers by name, as well as their favorite dishes! Hot Point Chinese is definitely our family's favorite restaurant in The Dalles, for good reason.

It's a Chinese restaurant, in The Dalles, with video lottery so I kept my expectations accordingly. I was completely blown away by how friendly the server (owner?) was. It made me realize how used to rude service I've gotten. We got there an hour before close and she was so genuinely kind and friendly- my partner and I both remarked about it multiple times when we left. Someone from boh came out and was talking to a table and he was also so friendly! It really left an impression. The food was good, large portions. We got the special where you get a ton of stuff for $17 each. You pick two entrees and get a few apps and a soup. We will absolutely be back.

I happened upon this restaurant after checking local Yelp reviews while staying in The Dalles. Don't let the non-descript exterior fool you, they have damn good food here. We were helped right away and the food came almost as soon as we ordered it. The portions were huge and both entrees were full of flavor, vegetables and meat. I've been to Chinese restaurants where a lot of the dishes tend to taste the same, not here. Each dish was flavorful and distinctly different from the other (Kung Pao chicken & broccoli beef). Prices are reasonable and the food and service is excellent!
