“My friend told me to skip Voodoo on the last day of my trip to Portland and head to Blue Star. I was a little weary but I've been burnt out on Voodoo for awhile. Blue Star is by far my new favorite. The young lady at the counter was more than helpful and very courteous. The kind of customer service I'm accustomed to being from the South. The store was immaculate and I liked the simple presentation. I didn't feel overwhelmed by the selection but immediately went to my tried and true: the apple fritter. This was no normal fritter. This thing was baked by some divine power. My God the glorious sweetness only enhanced by apples that I swear were guarded by a serpent in the garden of Eden! If you've never been, I urge you to run to the nearest location. If you're a repeat customer and haven't tackled the apple fritter then do yourself a favor and make it the next one on your list. My next trip to Portland will definitely prioritize another visit.“

“This is a very creative Donut, Boba drink place, It has some innovative drinks with Cool shaped donuts. The place is very cute with a little arcade machine, it is a little bit dirty and needs some touch up paint but whatever lol. we ended up ordering The Japanese Einspeinner matcha it, the Dirty Tiramisu Latte, Pineapple Passion fruit drink, and a Blackberry donut. First of The match just tasted like Milk we got it remade but wasn't good still were assuming Low quality match or bad portions.(Workers said owner swaps matcha brands frequently.) The tiramisu was good tasted like a chocolatey Coffee with cinnamon pretty nice. The pineapple passion fruit had good flavor all around. The Blackberry Donut was good but small amount of blackberry drizzle.

“The whole interaction was weird. I bought donuts and asked if I could buy an extra box to wrap a gift in (donut blanket). The lady working laughed and said no, in that tone that means why would you even ask that. I thought she was joking and kinda laughed and she laughed again and said her boss doesn’t allow her to do that and I just said ok, and then she laughed AGAIN and said no. Ok I got it. No box. I’ll go to Krispy Kreme and get a box from them. Still tipped because the donuts are bomb but maybe ask your employee why she is laughing at customers requesting a simple thing. “Early on a drizzly morning, I was greeted kindly with superb service. The shop has a cute old school donut shop vibe, complete with helpful staff.
Now on to the donuts! The chew of the raised donuts is nearly perfect. The dough is light, not cloyingly sweet and with the slight chew you're looking for in a good raised donut. I highly recommend their filled donuts. Also, the chocolate glaze was decadent again with that alright balace of sweet. Now on to my favorite, the sesame donut is a must. A plain cake donut with a light glaze dipped in toasted sesame seeds! This mildly sweet donut is perfection. I'll be thinking about it until I get it next!

“I really love Sesame Donuts in Sherwood. They have very tasty donuts and a large selection made fresh daily. I've only tried their donuts, hot cocoa, and coffee, but everything has been delicious! “After buying a few things I needed, I stayed inside MUJI a little longer. Near the in-store embroidery service, right beside the shelves of Japanese cups and plates, I noticed a robot coffee station that immediately made me curious.

After placing my order and making my selections on the touchscreen—adding everything to the digital cart, paying, and then walking over to the counter—I watched the robot begin preparing my drink: a hot cappuccino, $5.25.

I genuinely enjoyed watching the robot create the latte art… honestly, the design looked better than mine (haha).

Once the drink was ready, there was an announcement over the speaker, a light flashed on the counter, and I even received a text message on my phone. That level of detail was surprisingly thoughtful.

Beside the pickup counter, there was a small station with lids, napkins, straws, cream, and sugar for anyone who wanted a little extra sweetness. I, of course, added both sugar and cream.

The coffee here is quite strong. In my opinion, if you’re drinking it hot, the 10 oz is just right—12 oz feels like a bit too much. But it tastes really good.

Next time, I’ll try one of their fruit drinks.

If only I could sit by those large windows, slowly sipping coffee while looking out onto the street… that would be perfect.

After the shopping experience here, I noticed some customers hesitating and walking away—maybe because the space is quite narrow, and standing there to drink can feel a little awkward.

Still, the wooden beams and the warm lighting fit the coffee bar beautifully.

“A lot of places make artisan donuts, but end up overcomplicating them. Mochinut has a wide selection of mochi donuts that are soft and so very flavorful! It is not necessary to add so much to a donut that it weighs as much as you will once you've eaten it; they have delicious glazes with minimal toppings, and it comes out great!“
