Finally got to come in this weekend after missing it the first time I ended up in Altoona. Was an amazing lunch and amazing conversation with the crew in there for over an hour! Was a pleasure meeting you all and I'll be sure to return soon š The Altoona slice was a pleasant surprise and they know what they are doing there with their pizza, the dough was perfect in terms of a Sicilian slice and the history behind the Altoona style is actually much older than I thought. Also the shredded BBQ chicken sub was amazing and even the fries....if fries still taste good 8 hours later you KNOW they got it down! Hopefully I'll be back sooner than later.

Biggest smile I've had leaving a restaurant in years! Great (and huge) cheesesteak, great service from a great group of folks! I'll admit I raised an eyebrow at the legendary Altoona Sicilian slice, and I was blown away. We were in town from Wyoming and we will be back!

Staff is incredible, they really made this visit. So kind and quick with service, food was perfect and prices were great. First time trying Altoona Pizza was definitely worth it, the crust had a great crunch, don't knock it before you try it. Loved the hand painted menu on the wall, really a testament to the care these people have for their business. Thanks 29th Street!! We will be coming back!

A few weeks ago I tried a cheesesteak and was given the house dressing to try. Today I got an Italian and, of course, requested the house dressing. This place is GREAT! Price, quality, portions ALL spot on. Hats off to the owner and staff.

Stopped here on our pizza ride. Definitely different than normal pizza. I thought it was really good. The ingredients complimented each other. ( salami, green pepper, American cheese)

My job ordered us Pizza from 29th St & it is definitely some of the BEST pizza in Altoona. The man who delivered the pizzas was very friendly as well. We will DEFINETLY be ordering from here again!

Good food, great atmosphere. Has famous Altoona style pizza: American cheese on top of peppers, ham, and sauce. Also has lots of subs. One of my kids and me each got the Italian. We should have shared one sub. There was close to an inch of meat on them. Super friendly crew working there too.
Don't be put off by the for sale sign on the building. It's been sold but will keep operating with the same people.
