“DEFINITELY a locals bar. Sometimes non-locals may "subjectively" feel a bit unwelcomed when venturing into the unknown, outside of the sanitized corporately run chain places. Not the case here in my personal experience. Bartender Kat hit all of the ✔️s in what you'd expect as a new customer. I will return. Many people might be turned off by the "no frills" first impression. But the honest interaction is what works for us. No facades. What I like.“

“A home away from home for Commanders fans living in Philadelphia. Old Bay is featured heavily on the menu, as it should be. They easily accommodated our walk in party of 14 and put up with us playing "Hail To The Redskins" on the jukebox repeatedly.

“We just discovered this place after dining in Chestnut Hill for over 7 years. We could not be more in love. Incredible sandwiches. Such a laidback, cozy vibe. It’s clear that it’s a local favorite when you walk in. The kindest people work there. You feel like you step into a friend’s house & you get to have an incredible sandwich while you’re there. Went for the first time on Thursday, and went back on Sunday. If you’re on the fence, let this be the review that convinces you to go! It’s seriously so good.“

The food and drinks were all fabulous - Bar Jawn has a chill, relaxed atmosphere but boasts an elevated bar menu that is so much more and so far beyond typical bar food! Some of our favorites were the drunken ravioli, the buffalo arancini (so inventive!!!), the chicken parm (make sure you get it with ravioli!), the mozzarella triangles (mozz sticks with an upgrade!) and the eggplant stack! No seasoning on the pizza and the tomato sauce a little sweet. However, it is cooked perfectly with no burnt marks. Noticed they had Miller Light cans for $3.00. The pizza cost $10.00, which is good value.“

Parking: Like I mentioned, this is a local spot, and most folks just walk since they live nearby. I usually get lucky and find parking close by, but I try not to take parking from the residents, so parking a couple of blocks away won't hurt me!“

“I was there for a breast cancer survivor party, and it was my first time, I had the best time ever and am looking forward to going back again. I thought you opened early but see your hours start at 5pm. I have a girlfriend that wants to celebrate her birthday there November 2, 2024, so I plan to call and make arrangements for us to celebrate there this Saturday. I give this restaurant a five plus.“

Scoogis is everything you want in a dining experience. Great energy in the dining rooms, high-quality service, atmosphere, great menu, great desert. “Suspenders is perfect for a quick bite to eat, good bar food, excellent pricing. Or it’s a fun place with a good atmosphere to spend a Friday or Saturday night! Always lively, the staff is very attentive, and the music is always a good mix of everything! Highly recommend, if you haven’t been here yet you’re missing out!! We also take our 2 year old here, more so during the warmer months when we can hang outside! It is a bar/restaurant but kid friendly if you’re out & about with the family and need to stop for a bite to eat.“
