“I just joined Five Iron Fishtown and I love it. The location is great and I love the vibes of the inside. The hours are perfect as I generally go to use the simulators before work in the morning and work on my swing or play a round. I’ve also had a few lessons with Senior Golf Pro Matt Davis and I can already tell my swing has gotten better. With the technology they have and following Matt’s direction I feel like I’ll be performing a lot better once I get on an actual course. Highly recommend.“

“I really liked it here! Unpretentious and welcoming. Some of the best food I’ve ever had at a bar. The fish and chips were an especially nice surprise. In addition to the food menu, they offer different specials on the blackboard. Have a good selection on draft, plus canned beers and a unique cocktail list. Definitely worth a visit if you’re seeing a show at Union Transfer or PhilaMoca.“

Finally stopped in for lunch and got a hot beef & cheese (sharp provolone). While I love the modern day sandwich shops with crazy creative combinations, nothing beats a high quality yet simple sandwich like this. Fresh meat, roll, everything about it hit the spot. Added a bag of chips for $1 (sandwich was $15). My friend got the turkey special and loved it as well.

“Been meaning to write this review for about a month now. We were in last month from Pittsburgh for the weekend to see a show. Well, we liked this place so much on our Friday visit that we came back on Saturday, which is something we never do when in another city.

The vibe is great, dark and cool, but everybody there is super friendly, especially the staff. On Saturday the bartender was a woman with short hair. I don't remember her name, but she was wonderful. They've got all sorts of cool liquors there, and she even poured us a sample of one that we were interested in, an alpine pine liquer that'll put some hair on your chest.

If we lived in Philly, we'd be regulars here. The drinks and food were great and reasonably priced, In the assortment of different amaros and other liquers is impressive. One of the best bars I've ever been to.“

“This was my second visit to Ripplewood Whiskey & Craft, and my first time experiencing their happy hour—and it did not disappoint. The menu had a great variety, and I enjoyed both the drinks and the pork bao buns.

A standout “happy accident” was ordering the pretzel rolls with truffle butter… absolutely amazing. That alone is worth coming back for.

The bartenders were attentive and provided great service throughout our visit. We also tried the deviled eggs, which were just okay for me—the mustard base was a bit too strong for my taste.

Overall, Ripplewood is a lovely spot with a relaxed vibe and nice outdoor seating in the back. It’s a great place for drinks, small bites, and a chill evening out.“
