Overall good vibes, interesting menu, solid food menu, and service is hit or miss in terms of attentiveness. Great cocktails.
We were really pleased with our experience at R&D - Eddie was a delight to chat with; knowledgeable and engaging without being pretentious. Cocktails were unique and well balanced, with some creative combinations. The menu is great as well - as someone unfamiliar with Philly history, it was a great read in addition to being a solid menu. If you look for great cocktails as a destination, put this on your list.
