“Great spot!! We started with the Tematim salad (order this, so unique and fresh and zingy) and veggie sambusas. Yebeg awaze tibs was amazing, such a flavorful dish and perfectly spiced. My girlfriend had never had Ethiopian food before and absolutely loved the veggie combo. The injeera was fresh and delicious. Service was good and staff were friendly.“

“Loving the new look with the mesob tables. I was expecting the authentic Ethiopian dining experience where they bring out a big round plate for the mesob and we all eat off of it, but we were given a small square plate to serve one. Food was great though. And the date cake is delicious. Do try it.

I wish they could import Tej. I fell in love with honey wine at an Ethiopian restaurant in Queens and haven’t had any since.“

“Up until I found Almaz Cafe going to the city was a requirement for Ethiopian food. No longer! Everything I've had here has been delicious and the owners are very friendly. There are other non-Ethiopian choices, but seriously that is what you should come here for. The actual location is less than inspiring, and the music can be loud (which if asked kindly might be able to be adjusted). Over all though, I will keep going back.“
