I've been going to Hykel's since I was a teenager. I moved away to Miami years ago and came back home to visit family.It's a great neighborhood bar and grill.This was the first cheesesteak I've had in almost 3 years because I refuse to eat them in any other area other than the Philly area.This cheesesteak was amazing. 971th different cheesesteak in the last four years. Guest Eater Amigo Dan. Smoking at the bar since 1938. I think it is a different cheesesteak experience later in the day (and/or weekend's) when Hykel's has more than one employee working. The guy was doing a good job, he was just doing all of the jobs. I have been eating Hykel's hoagies for over 60 years and like to consider myself somewhat of an authority on the subject- I just had one today while watching the Eagles game. Pretty incredible to hold it together for that long! Order an American Hoagie- trust me on this - the perfect blend of meats and cheese, lettuce tomatoes and chopped onions, on a Conshy bakery roll.
