“Great food and quick service. Came here with a hungry group, and our food came pretty quickly and hit the spot! A few of us split a scallion pancake, and it was quite good--flaky/not hard and had some nice layers. It was on the small side but still good for sharing. I tried the knife cut roast pork stir fry noodles and enjoyed the flavor of the meat and the slightly varied textures of the noodles! Very flavorful but not too rich. I enjoyed the veggies that gave a nice texture contrast with the noodles. I also sampled some of the house noodle bowl with the hand pulled noodles, which were also great! The broth was tasty, and there were a lot of varied meats and veggies included. With the solid food, fair prices, and good location, I'd definitely come here again!“

“Emei is one of the few Chinese Restaurants that has several gluten free options. My wife has celiac disease so this is very important and the servers here are knowledgeable and helpful about dietary restrictions. We started with the Cucumber and Garlic salad which is absolutely delicious. Then the main entree was house special fried rice with General Tsao's chicken. That's something nearly impossible to get gluten free. It was very good. The ambiance was fine nothing over-the-top. Special shoutout to Valerie, our server. She understood my wife's celiac seriously. Took her time explaining various menu options, etc. Professional and personable. Overall highly recommended.“

“Found amidst other small businesses and shops in the heart of Bryn Mawr, Yamazaki Ramen might just be the cozy culinary hideaway your taste buds need. It's a modest space, sure, but what it lacks in grandeur, it compensates with a soul-warming embrace, a friendly nod, and bowls of ramen that could easily steal the show in any food lover's heart. Now, let's talk about the star of our gastronomic journey--the Yamazaki Special ramen. This bowl is more than just a meal; it's a warm embrace on a cold day, a melody of flavors that sings a harmonious ode to traditional Tonkotsu ramen. With its rich pork-bone soup, tender roast pork, and an ensemble of bamboo shoots, kikurage mushrooms, red ginger, scallions, and a perfectly poached egg, it's a dish that doesn't just satisfy hunger; it nourishes the soul.Alongside this noodle nirvana, we ventured into the realm of the Gyudon Rice Bowl. Here, we found a comforting assembly of sliced beef, onions, and pickled ginger atop a bed of rice, all gently hugged by a sweet dashi sauce. The seasoned boiled egg added a nice touch, though the dish played more of a supporting role to the show-stopping ramen. It's still a solid choice for those craving a bit of variety, offering a satisfying culinary experience.Yamazaki Ramen stands as a testament to the joys of simple, heartfelt cooking. In this unassuming spot, you'll find dishes crafted with care, flavors that linger long after the last bite, and a reminder of the quiet power of a well-made bowl of ramen. So, if find yourself in Bryn Mawr and in search of a quick & tasty bite, Yamazaki Ramen checks all of the boxes.“

“This place is just recently opened and received pretty good reviews, so I decided to try it out.everything we ordered was tasty with a generous portions, but the flavor was just too sweet for me and my boyfriend. I know Thai food is sweet, but this is another level of sweet. And the coconut noodle soup, it has no flavor and tasted so coconuty. It would have been better if they use rice noodle or glass noodle instead of vermicelli noodle. The ambience is plain, but it looks new and clean. The color of the building looks unattractive in my opinion.Service is good, but it takes awhile for the food to come out. They seem to be more busy with takeout orders.Overall, a decent Thai food with good portion and reasonable price. Tip: pay in CASH, you’ll get 5% off and they also accept Venmo.“

“Amazing!!!!! The pho and ramen were perfect, this is my favorite spot in philly for a noodle soup. The owner was so sweet too and she gave us excellent service. The place is very small and cozy but so cute! Highly recommend, a hidden gem! They also deliver on all the big food delivery service apps and it's always fresh and delicious!“

“Stopped by here for a late lunch with the family. It was close to our hotel (walking distance). We went during a time when it wasn't busy. We were welcomed by a staff member who seated us right away. Those who took our order and brought out the food were friendly and efficient. Overall, the food was good. The scallion pancakes were a little on the smaller size. The shrimp for the honey walnut dish was not what we had initially expected -- it was breaded, similar to that of Chinese chicken fingers -- but still good. The shrimp lo mein had an added taste which I was trying to identify. It reminded me of pork or some kind of meat -- but again, still good. The place was nice, spacious with high ceilings, and has a huge bar. It reminded me of a bar/lounge back in NYC, but it was a little dim. Overall, it was a decent place to get some Chinese food in the area. Also, I believe they will be moving locations soon.“

“I'd actually been to Dan Dan years ago, the last time I was in Philly, and decided to come back. Even years later, the noodles were still memorable, but this time I decided to try something else. They had a bunch of options for entrées, but I decided to go with Hot Dry Pot Dish (Chicken), since it came with a bunch of vegetables. I was very pleased with the portion size and the dish was delicious! I actually sat at the bar, since it was just me, but they had plenty of regular tables as well. The vibes were pretty relaxed, but I could see it being more lively on a Friday or Saturday night. I really enjoyed my meal here!“

“forget the ambience; it's sketchy in the best way... we've ordered bahn mi twice now and they were consistent, fairly priced, and delicious... tonight we got pho for take-out and it was fantastic... the scalding hot broth comes separate from the noodles and any proteins to be poured over top once you're ready. the hot sauce is hot and the jalapeños are not your baby-stuff-for-babies. these folk will stay on our list.“

“Took advantage of a Too Good to Go (get the app!) offer while on vacation in Philly. So glad I did. The pasta was perfect and the pesto absolutely ruined me for all other pestos. Seriously, I have contemplated the 3 hour drive for just that pesto. Super friendly staff as well!“

“Service was great and I had a delicious honey iced green tea. My pork belly ramen was good but not like "whoa this broth" good that you sometimes find. They had a whole bunch of dim sum offerings I didn't try but looked good so a generous 4 stars.“

“I had fried rice with chicken and steak. It was delicious. Only problem was I ask for mild but I didn't taste anything spicy at all not even a lil kick. Next time I'm going to try hot. But overall nice neighborhood right next to Rita water ice. Great customer service and great first dish. I definitely recommend people to try Thai food from here.“

“Excellent Thai food. We ordered chicken spring rolls and chicken satay for appetizers. Spring rolls were crunchy and flavorful and the satay was spicy and sweet. The chicken Pad Thai was very tasty and the presentation was beautiful. Just don’t sit by the door if it’s cold out, customers tend to leave it open. They could benefit by putting a automatic door closer on that door.“

“This place is legit. Spicy, but they nail the spice level exactly what I wanted (your mileage may vary). Fast service, nothing special but very polite. The dining room has a college area vibe, stripped down and simple but clean. It's all about really good, fresh, well-executed, spicy Sichuan food. I'm a fan!“

“The food and service really sing here. Atmosphere is light and open... very nice. The menu is not 'expansive', but what they have is all very well prepared. Service is on point. Timely, good with recommendations, relaxed. Chabaa is one of my regulars.Dietary restrictions: Where many restaurants have 80-90% chicken dishes, Chabaa has a range of protein options (chicken, beef, seafood/ shrimp, tofu). Nice.“

“This place is a hidden gem. The food came out in less than 5 minutes so consider staggering your order unless you want to feast like a king. It was hands down the best chicken satay I’ve ever had, we had to order a second one after we finished all of the food. Beef Rendeng was fantastic as well. Only thing we ordered that I wouldn’t get again was the spare ribs which were overly fried. Overall this place is fantastic and a BYOB, will be going back very soon.“

“Probably the best Cantonese food you'll find in the center city Philly area. The taste to price ratio is excellently high. The barbecue meats are the best here. If you go, definitely order them at least. Service was fine, don't really care as the food is excellent. Standard restaurant atmosphere nothing noteworthy.“

“I lived in China for almost 7 years and this place is the real deal! I was missing authentic Chinese food so much and I finally found it here in The States! The place is small so be aware if you’re planning on bringing a big group. There’s only one toilet and it was a bit sketchy. Although that added to the authenticity of the atmosphere. It transported me back to China. It was surreal!Parking: If you come from out of town like us, you will need to pay for parking at the many public parking lots in this area. The one we found charged us $24 per 2 hours. It was very close to the restaurant, maybe 5 minutes walk. Very convenient. Stress free.“

“Got Szechuan peppercorn beef noodle soup and fish maw chicken noodle soup. So good. And the price is pretty decent for such a big portion & variety of toppings. Service is basic level. They do have a surcharge for credit card but I’m not super surprised.“

“Do Not Miss !! Xi'an style cuisine is uncommon in American Chinese food menus, but after eating here I am officially cheerleading Xi'an food in Philly. The "Pita bread soaked in lamb and beef soup" (牛肉泡馍) and "BBQ lamb skewers with cumin flavor" (羊肉串) were so fresh and good. There were pickled garlic cloves as garnishes for our soups, incredible. Also had a sour tofu dish handwritten on the menu that was wonderful. I had a great experience dining in as well, it was very comfortable. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu.“
“Unique and delicious spot at the Upper Darby H Mart food court. Love to order their jajangmyeon (black bean noodles) takeout. Authentic and chewy with good size portions. Easy to call over the phone. Simple and well priced. Service is excellent.“

“There are some selective eaters in my household and the Pho Tai (pho w/ rare steak) is always a hit. We order takeout and the food is packaged very well. The broth stays extremely hot, and the steak and fresh garnishes are packed separately. The Banh Mi Thit Nuong (grilled pork) and Banh Mi Bo Nuong (grilled beef) are also tasty. Very fresh ingredients.Vegetarian options: At least one option in every category.“

“I've been to Humpty's Dumplings Glenside location twice and I'm hooked!! The cheesesteak dumplings are addictive. I've also had the asain pork dumplings which are pretty good and come with a delicious sauce. Service in the kitchen is quick but I have to give MAJOR props to the cashier Noah! Noah has outstanding customer service, super friendly and welcoming, multitasks like a beast and in the time my husband and I were enjoying our food every customers order was called to the right face and they all left with smiles. I don't know if I'd return if Noah wasn't the cashier because great service is a rarity these days and not valued anymore. He waaaay deserves a raise! Thank you Humpty's Dumplings in Glenside!“

“This particular honeygrow is leaps and bounds above the rest. When I walk through the Wayne honeygrow doors, the lovely ladies behind the counter greet me with a “welcome to honeygrow” that I could only liken to the warmth of a mother’s hug. Their smiles are genuine, and they have a love for life. Bowls here are made with love.To hear the ladies banter joyfully as they craft my bowl reinforces the authenticity of the experience. They’re the gift that keeps on giving, and they leave me longing to return. This crew of employees should be the subject of a case study for all other honeygrow establishments. These ladies deserve life- long pension plans.“

“We have ordered the Stir Fry Chicken Parm noodles using kiosk. This place was way too busy , could be due to being a weekend. After placing the order it took about 10-15 minsfor the food to be ready. The quality of ingredient used in the bowl were fresh and good. The flavors and texture of the bowlwas nice with some crucnhy fresh onions, bell peppers , crispy onions , tomoatoand juicky chicken which went well with the egg noodles. However the bowl was missing the salt and spiciness. Expecting that the food not being spicy we have ordered toadd chilly crisps in our order, but when we got out food it was missing the ingredient. It would have been a 5 on 5 if the bowl had salt and the chilly flakes. The price seemed to be a bit expensive 15-18$ based on ingredient youkeep adding.I would definitely visit again to try their other bowls.“

“The best dumplings I've ever had! They're so delicious you don't need sauce; you can't even tell they're vegan. I like the Spinach and Potatoes but my favorite is the Butternut Squash. I buy them frozen from Market at the Fareway to cook anytime. If you love dumplings, you need to try MoMos!“

“If you like pho, this place is worth the trip. The soup is very hot (much hotter than some spots in Philly) and the flavor isn't overpowering. Not too much meat, but enough with the noodles that I was completely stuffed after my soup (and I can eat!).The steamed pork dumplings were special.... Slightly sweet, and very savory. Pork spring rolls are all pork, and although I would have liked some veggies in there, the flavor was also very good. Finally, I tried the clay pot fish, and I will be back to eat JUST THAT. I love fish, and the clay pot is a tasty braised fish in a super flavorful brown sauce ... Just wonderful for midwinter supper!“

“Great customer service. I was here a few weeks ago and the gentleman who helped me was very friendly and knowledgeable. I had asked for a few Szechuan sauces, and he gave me two excellent choices. When I was leaving, he addressed me by my first name and said goodbye and good luck. Thanks guys!“
