Make sure you call ahead to confirm opening or visit at your own risk. We visited 3 times in the past few months only to find the restaurant closed with a notice at the door. They don’t really update Google Maps when it happens.

This local restaurant features authentic Xi'an-style noodles and traditional Chinese dim sums, showcasing a rich culinary heritage. I especially enjoy the belt-thick Biangbiang noodles, handcrafted daily by skilled chefs and served with a hearty, savory meat sauce that highlights their al dente texture. The hot sour soup they offer, brewed with a delicate balance of vinegar and white pepper, is regarded as the best in town, offering a tangy complement to the other dishes. Although the restaurant has been modestly remodeled, with simple decor and practical furnishings, it maintains high standards of cleanliness and warm hospitality, creating a welcoming dining atmosphere.

As someone who has lived in China, the food at this restaurant is authentically Chinese and very good!

Food is authentic, noodles are fresh and bouncy.
Service is lackluster. Called to place a takeout order and was directed to place an order online. There is a convenience fee added when placing an order online.
Unfortunately will not be ordering here again unless they reinstate takeout orders by phone.

I do hope the owners bring back their original menu and start offering biang biang noodles and the pork rib noodle again. Those noodles were so fresh, authentic, and flavorful. For our family, these items were what really set this place apart from other Chinese restaurants in the area, and why we visited multiple times a week. We are anxiously waiting for the menu to update again!

Easy to dismiss from the exterior but WOW the food was outstanding. My son and I shared the walnut shrimp and the biang biang pork noodles. Portions were huge so we brought some home but not after stuffing ourselves with these delicious and beautiful dishes.

In my humble opinion, this is one of the best Chinese restaurants in North America. It truely grasps the feeling and taste of Chinese food and I look forward to eating here every time I go to Philly. The outside looks a little sketchy but the inside is very clean and modern, and is not very busy.

What an excellent place and surprising flavors. The home made noodles are excellent quality. That shrimp in candied walnut is a big surprise

I met the owner at a restaurant in New York. After she told me about her own restaurant, I knew I had to try it the next time I came to the Philly area. The food did not disappoint at all. I got the spicy lamb noodle soup, which was made with lamb and beef bone broth. It was perfectly seasoned with savory ingredients, including cumin, and a mild touch of numbing peppercorn. My partner got a chicken, potato and noodle dish. Both of our dishes had the meat and noodles cooked perfectly.
The atmosphere is nothing special but everything is extremely clean. They provide semi-table service.
I would recommend making a trip here if you want that not-too-common Xi’an style food.

So good! This is some of the best Sichuan food I've had in Philly. Don't be fooled by the touch screen you use to order, this isn't fast food. Woman running register was very friendly and helpful. Ambience is no frills, but it is also in an older silver diner that I personally have a soft spot for. Will definitely be back! Portions are huge and a good value.
