“Holy moly what a find. Stopped in after a long day working on our new house where we did not have it in us to cook. Tried 2 different bento boxes and were blown away by:
-portion size (so much enclosed the box had to be rubber banded shut, we ate on the leftovers for several meals)
-price (each of our selections was less than $20)
-quality (new favorite spring roll in the area, crispy coating of batter on the bento and shrimp, fresh fluffy rice, fabulous miso soup, I could go on)
-customer service (they wrote a sweet note thanking us for our business! It was placed into one of the bags we were given along with a takeout menu)
-speed (for the volume of food we were given, the wait was very reasonable. We walked in and ordered, and I think it took maybe 20 mins for us to be handed our food)“

I was hearing good things about it so I decided to go on Valentine’s Day and I was so pleased 😀 the sushi was the very good 👍🏾 the greeter when I arrived wasn’t the best of spirits but another co worker made up for it with a rose 🌹 to accommodate the experience. “Dinner at Masamoto was suggested by a friend, so you're getting a twofer review. If you love sushi how can you go wrong?

We went with another couple on a Wednesday night. (Now you're up to 5 people recommending this place-bonus!) The place is small, so we made reservations. Sadly, we were the only customers when we arrived. I was a little concerned, but once rush hour died down the place got busy. The kitchen was hopping, creating table and take out orders. And for good reason.

We ordered a bunch of sushi rolls. They all looked amazing when brought to the table. There's no point in telling you which rolls we order, because they were all great and the menu has so many choices. And they will even make you gluten-free rolls and fried rice if you ask.

You don't go to Masamoto if you don't like sushi, so go and enjoy some wonderful creations.

It's usually true what they say about cozy hole in the wall restaurants. Masamoto is such a place, and deserves to be packed every night. If you want Asian flair and the extra costs for decorations and loud music - good for you, but you're missing out. Masamoto is a mom-n-pop type place with great food and a fantastic staff. They are helpful and happy to take care of you. For me, a genuinely cheery staff is what makes a place feel welcoming.

Masamoto is a place you go for the food and the company. Make some time and treat yourself.
Oh, and bring your favorite saki, wine, or bubbly. They are BYOB. Your belly and your wallet will thank you!

was overall pleased with what we got ! the sushi was good (spicy crab and salmon rolls), had a decent kick to it.
ramen was pleasant, the egg was good, noodles were a bit thin in mine (? they were different from my husband's, they weren't gross, had an interesting texture), but the broth was smooth and spicy. 8/10, would get again“

“Well made & seasoned. Created quickly with precision. My daughter asked for her 13th Birthday dinner to be ordered from here. They even have a Birthday roll which was fantastic. They gave the birthday girl an extra pastry & what we can only describe as a special Birthday roll/cake. See pic. Highly recommend.“

“My mom & I visited this establishment on 10/28/23 for lunch. We were warmly welcomed by the staff as we were brought to our table. Our server was a young gentleman who was pleasant & professional. We started off with the cream cheese wontons which were crispy and flavorful, the best I've had in a long time. Now to our entrees, my mom had the pad thai, she loved it and I had the General Tso's Chicken extra spicy, it was prepared expertly and absolutely delicious. Both came with soup, we had Hot & Sour, flavorful and nice spice. We both were happy with our experience. Will definitely return. Highly Recommended! Tell them Charlie sent ya!“

“Stumbled upon this spot while working in DE from Philly and because I was craving poke. Will literally never go to another restaurant any time I’m in Wilmington or nearby.

Fish is fresh, ingredients are fresh, and there’s a ton of flexibility in combining them to your liking. For poke, I’d gladly venture out of Philly just for this.“
