It’s well decorated—interior design is thoughtful and tasteful, not tacky.It shares parking in the back with several other small establishments. Today it’s pouring outside, so it’s extra quiet. Yet I can imagine parking may be challenging on a sunny day.Food-wise, I think their sushi rolls are better than their ramen—I’m just not into their noodle’s texture. Their sushi rolls are of decent size and quality in their respective price category.Service is friendly. My only reservation today is: The restaurant is noticeably cold, as if they didn’t turn on the heat.“

Personally, I ordered the miso soup ramen and I loved it: both the decoration of the dish, as well as the quantity and flavor, were in harmony; For starters we ordered gyozas, which were delicious. My companion ordered a shrimp tempura roll which, on the other hand, although it had a delicious flavor, the quantity was small in relation to the price. The atmosphere is cozy. The staff treated us very kindly, which made us enjoy the experience even more.“

“Just two focused homies making the best quick sushi, sashimi, nori etc. it’s a counter with maybe 8 seats and it feels so informal but right to the point. I got the valentines roll and the fresh red tuna was so buttery soft. I loved it. Also don’t skip the sashimi platter!! Great place for any quick satisfying meal. Lots of people come through for takeout so it’s incredibly busy but they are efficient. Order at least 30 mins ahead so you’re not waiting too long - They are very busy on Friday nights.“

“We go there every time with my husband because the people who work there are the most thoughtful, hospitable, and caring people in town! Sena has always impressed me with how she realized who I was and what my name was on the phone when I called to make an appointment, always remembered that I was gluten free and made sure that I got the best service even on Bam Bam’s busiest days! I totally recommend their Bibimbap. My husband has almost tried everything on the menu and he loves them too. But again, nothing can beat Sena’s and other staff’s hospitality. We started with the tofu miso soup (would prefer more tofu) that was tasty and a larger than typical serving. The tuna dumpling, tricolor tobiko roll, and the Naruto roll are pictured. The tuna dumpling included mango which compliments the overall taste. The visual appeal of every dish was outstanding (see the attached pictures). “Quick cheap tasty and my go to for rainy cold days. Takeout staples like egg foo young and general tso’s are consistently solid. I would say they also have the freshest tasting egg rolls of all the takeout spots in south Philly. The veggies on the inside actually have some texture instead of being defrosted mush. Fried rice has decent wok flavor too surprisingly. Just can’t go wrong as long as you stick to the familiar dishes.“

I thoroughly enjoyed the sashimi presentation, it was cut thin and folded and served chilled but not too cold such that it melts on the tung as good fish does. The octopus was served with a different cutting technique than I am accustomed to, the sushi chef was proud of his cut and explained it to me. I was treated extremely well by the waitress and her suggestion of tea after sushi was perfect. I highly recommend this place.“
