Their tomato pie is a local legend for a reason—it’s simple but perfect, with that sweet sauce and soft crust that keeps you coming back. The fresh hoagie rolls and Italian loaves are top-notch too; you can taste the difference compared to store-bought bread.

If you’ve got a sweet tooth, grab a few cannoli or cookies—they’re fresh, delicious, and make a great treat to bring home. The service is always friendly, and the place runs like a well-oiled machine even when there’s a line. I love that it still feels like a family-run bakery even though it’s become pretty popular. “Giovanni's is one of the only places around that is consistently good. The pizza is always amazing. Whenever we are trying to decide where to go as a family of 7, Giovannis always wins out. It's the only place we can name that everyone is happy with. In the summer, some of out best days are ordering a few pizzas or hoagies to take to Nine Oaks Pool.“

“We walked in and ordered a pizza to-go. The staff was very friendly and gave our toddler some crayons and a kids placemat for her to color while we waited.
The restrooms were clean and well stocked.

“Me and my sister came here for our first time. We had the Korean BBQ and cheesesteak pizza... sooo good. The Korean BBQ had the perfect sweet and spicy flavor. The Dubai chocolate craze continues with cousins because we also tried the Dubai chocolate pizza, and it was amazing, especially if you’re craving something sweet. We definitely couldn’t contain ourselves there.

We also had the cheesesteak pizza and italian hoagie. 10s all around. The staff were so kind and accommodating, and the space was very clean. I’ll definitely be coming back. Plus, they’re 100% halal. Where else can you get an Italian hoagie this good and halal???“

“My wife and I ate here last night (6/27/23), after dropping our son off at St. Joseph's University orientation, and generally speaking, it was fantastic. Our waitress, Jen, was at the forefront of why our experience was so positive. She was attentive, and really engaged us in conversation. We split the cheesesteak eggroll appetizer, which was delicious. For our entree, my wife got a salad with a giant meatball (don't know the name...sorry, LOL). I went with baked lasagna, and I felt the portion was more than enough. I typically finish everything, but we brought a little bit of lasagna home, along with what was left of her salad. We couldn't pass up dessert, and there was a lot to choose from. We settled on the zeppoles, which did NOT disappoint. The 3.5% charge to pay with a card, isn't ideal, but it is clearly stated, on a sign on the hostess station, as soon as you walk in. If that's a possible dealbreaker, there is a cash machine in the restaurant, if you want to pay with cash. We would (and probably will, at some point over the next four years) return!“

“Amazing food!!!! My son and I were on our way back home (DC area) and wanted to get food in the way back. Why go to fast food or subway when we are in the area of amazing steak and cheese hoagies? Turns out it was on our way home so I ordered myself a steak and cheese and my son a meatball sub (with fries.) I could only eat 1/4 and even the next day it still tasted amazing! The meat was juicy and flavored, soft bread, and fries salty and delicious. My son ate all of his in about 10 minutes. Would love to return again. This time to get pizza. When I went into the restaurant, the pizza smelled so good. I was thinking maybe I should get some. But that’s a lot of food lol. Great place - seems like a hometown favorite for many people eating there and the amount of people I saw come in for pickup.“

They have a parking lot. They have TVs which were all playing The Masters today. Bethany was our server today. She was friendly and attentive. We’ve been going to Franzone’s for over 20 years.
