“Had a fantastic meal. With how crowded they were I expected a longer wait but my meal came out fast and correct. Marilyn our server was fantastic. Friendly and knowledgeable. Came back to check on how meal was going and if everything was ok or if we needed more drinks. I’d recommend reservations and ask for Marilyn’s table! Definitely will return.“

“This is one of the best dinners we have visited in a long time. Honest, fair pricing and excellent food. I can only rate breakfast menu but it was great. Visited again for a late lunch early diner. Very quiet at 3 30 till 430.still got lunch menu which was excellent“

“Can't to visit with my husband. Very relaxing and chill environment. The lady that took care of us very well, even offering an infusion on her in lieu of having a horrible week to start the new year. Drinks are amazing and we haven't even had our food yet. $10 per person smoking fee if you want to bring your own smoke! We will definitely be making plans to visit again!“

“The waitresses and bar tenders are friendly and humorous. That is always a plus. It’s a local bar where non-locals fit right in. The menu specials change each week. They always offer Vegetarian options. Thank you for that! The Nachos appetizer is big enough for two and they use homemade tortilla chips. Pizza? New York style, thank you. Best chicken cheesesteaks around. Last but FAR from least are their drinks. They concoct special drinks that do not disappoint. Yup, 100% recommend.“

“We were there today for the first time. it's really nice to have this close to home. Good quality ingredients, very fair pricing and a clean setting. I prefer to pay for good quality than to purchase mediocre food at lower price point. Service was very good. Attentive, knowledgeable and pleasant. Food tasted delicious! The salmon cake was better than any crab cake I've had. The NY Strip was very tender, flavorful beautifully plated. The pancake appetizer also delicious! You can bring your own wine (of course they have wine glasses). Keep in mind this is a learning environment. We were very pleased with the entire experience. I love cooking so I rarely if ever want to go out for a meal, but I can see us going there a few times a month. ❤️ Well done!“

“Made a reservation for 3:30 before going to see rod stewart at the ppl center in allentown. We got there 2:45 and they did seat us early which was very nice of the hostess to do so. The place was packed and now I know why. It was our first time eating at the thirsty tavern and it won't be the last!
Our waitress was nick and she was awesome! She helped me choose my dinner from three choices I asked her about and her recommendation was spot on! I had the fish tacos which came with a side of black beans and a,side of cilantro lime rice and let me tell you it was soooo goood! The whole dish was so flavorful omg! I also had the white sangria and that was so good as well!
My husband had the blackened shrimp wrap which came with a side of fries.
His meal was really good too.
We had the peach tavern wings as an appetizer and they too were soo good!
Nick was also very attentive to our table which was much appreciated and a very nice girl.
You have to stop by and try this place you will be happy you did!
Make sure you ask to be seated in nicks area as she's the best!

“OMGGG! This place was AMAZING! And the food was soooo good! I had never been to a Perkins before but my husband knew them from down south. We were visiting fam in Pennsylvania and came across this place on our way back to NY. Their prices were awesome AND they have a menu for people 55 and over. I thought that was great. The food was delicious and the service impeccable. I tipped my waitress $20 bucks cause she was so great. Excellent first time ever experience and now I am a fan!“

The place had a relaxed vibe, nothing fancy but comfortable enough to sit and talk without feeling rushed. Food came out in a reasonable time and everything was fresh and warm. I ordered a classic entrée and it tasted just like you’d expect, not overdone and not bland either. Portions were fair for the price. Eli's basic steak sandwich is phenomenal, and those made with the in-house ribeye are better yet. succulent meat, savory spices, and the bread is unbeatable do yourself a favor and get there a soon as possible if you like a great sandwich!“
