“We went here today on a whim and were pleasantly surprised! The bartender Kristine greeted us when we opened the door and invited us in from the cold to get warm. Service was great! Food was amazing! And the locals at the bar were super friendly and even waved and gave us a super kind goodbye and welcomed us back when we left. “Great lunch . French onion soup was tasty but cooked to death. Onions were nothing but mush. Croutons did not make it a better. Cheese was melted perfectly. Then the wedge salad with lettuce that was crisp blue cheese that was not overwhelming, cut Grape tomatoes too green and bacon that was just right. Iced tea and service was exceptional. “Was there yesterday 6/8 my birthday. I had the salmon which was very good. My wife ordered the steak well done. It was not well done. More like medium. Red inside. We declined but they did comp. my drink. The waitress and manager handled it very well. We will go back.“

“Let me just tell you that this is my absolute favorite go to whenever a girls night is underway and I plan on taking my significant other for a date night as well. Food is beyond amazing and fresh . Service is always top notch and welcoming . Tonight we had a male bartender/sever who was new to us (NoT Dylan) and he was Phenemonal as well! Everything was on point. Business has a decent amount of parking when walking in the door I noticed it was clean the menu was clearly visible with lots of options. Having never been there we felt like regulars very friendly service all around. The prices were fantastic which is getting harder to find these days. “Tavern at the Sun Inn saved the day today - actually Scott did! The food truck was closed today and I was sent upstairs to the bar, thank goodness we did! My friend and I had set in our minds what we wanted to beverage but now had no idea since the other menu was specific to the truck. Scott had asked what he could get us - my reply was simple- I needed one drink to be cherry bounce and another to be made with boilo. He did not disappoint!! Cherry bounce mule and the other was an apple cider boilo martini…I can’t even say which was better because they were both equally amazing! The Portuguese roll looked like it was going to be too much bread for that burger but after 1 bite I was hooked. That roll is special and the burger is top notch. In comparison I just had the Smokehouse burger from Pints & Pies 2 weeks ago. This burger was in a completely different class. Alexis at the bar was great too. I also love their tap list as they have many beer varieties and you can always find something good (sometimes local). Their burgers are good, sandwiches are good, salads are good, etc. They have healthy options as well if you are looking for something light. “I dinned in last night, about an hour and a half before closing. The only reason I rated 4 stars was because the food was made perfectly so shout out to whoever the cook was last night! The service on the other hand was by far one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. Both me and my boyfriend are very experienced in the restaurant industry so to have a waitress that could not care less about the customers she was serving was sad and slightly annoying to see. The only thing she did was ask us for our drinks otherwise we had to ask for bread we had to ask to put in our appetizers & meals it’s not like we weren’t visually ready to order considering our means were stacked at the end of the table by the time she brought our drinks to us, I felt like I was doing her job more than she was, she did not once pick up a single empty dish so by the time we got our food we barley had anywhere to put it, then by the time we were ready to leave I physically had to get up and start looking for our waitresses bc we were sitting there simply waiting for a check for approximately 20 mins with our waitress no where to be seen. Im not sure who the young blond chick was serving your back dining area last night but as a cooperation I would genuinely reconsider the position she holds in your restaurant.“

The food is made to order, typically a bit of a wait yet we are always happy with the results. We ordered the meat lasagna as an appetizer along with a chicken Saltimbocca over steamed spinach, side of stuffed potato plus the six tempura battered XL shrimp and steamed asparagus with a stuffed baked potato. it was all so tasty and fresh! “It does not matter how many places we try, the Catty Corner is our go to neighborhood restaurant. It is not dark and dingy like Race Street, there isn't a young bartender with severe control issues like Hammerhead (she is really MEAN), and you don't feel like you are in a loud cave like Grove Street ALL while being ignored. The employees all say hello and smile (ALL ~ kitchen and counter staff, drivers, waitresses and bartenders, the owners). They consistently work together to ensure a satisfying experience and the food is great. Even the outside dj's are personable and bring a positive energy. More places should model the Catty Corner.“
