That peanut butter frosting should be sold by the tub-it is that delicious! I received a warm welcome and it is such a cute spot. “What’s happening here? How can a little shop like this in California, PA have some of the best sushi I’ve ever tasted? And the rice bowls AND wings!? Not to mention the delicious ice cream and the waffle sandwiches? That’s all we’ve tried so far but my husband and I are both eager to try more menu items. I can see this place being dangerous on the wallet. I highly recommend the Super Alaska and Yellow Tail rolls. Also, the Yum Yum sauce is to die for. I could drink it by the gallon. “Stopped here on our way through Monongehela. My husband had the cheese burger and d fries and really enjoyed it. I cannot eat gluten and very rarely find a place that can accommodate me. I had kolbassi with no bun, coleslaw, and they cooked my fries in a separate fryer. Everything was very good!”

Even when we didn’t have reservations for a large group they’ve always accommodated us. We just cannot say enough about how wonderful the experiences have been. A menu diverse enough for every taste. “We had one of the best meals of our lives last night at Vesta 88 while celebrating our son's 27th birthday! Ron and I had the special (grouper topped with crab-stuffed shrimp, tomato basil risotto and asparagus)--and Noah had the poutine and meatball trio. SO delicious! The servers are so friendly and attentive, and the coal-mining themed atmosphere and memorabilia make for a unique dining experience. Our new fave local restaurant!”

While we mainly frequent the diner for breakfast on the weekends, we occasionally enjoy their delicious food other times as well. “We visited Rizzle’s Roadhouse for the first time today! It is half bar and half restaurant so we expected the typical bar food. WHAT A SURPRISE! THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT! There were four of us and we all agree and will go back even though we live an hour away. We had grilled chicken mahi-mahi, ribs and steak - all excellent! You won’t be disappointed!”

“Sambols made us these wonderful baby animal shaped cookies for our baby shower that were decorated so delicately and each had a little pink bow! They were so tasty too! They also made delicious Lady Locks with pink filling, chocolate covered oreos with pink stripes, mini cupcakes with wonderfully colored icing and thumbprint cookies decorated with pink and white jimmies and filled with pink and white swirl icing.
