“We used to go here for dinner on Saturdays before we left the area. The food is always good. The atmosphere is cute, fun, quirky, and all-around a great way to end the week!As far as the service, it’s TGIF. It didn’t blow us away or anything but the staff here is really nice which is always refreshing and we have no complaints.“
“Came for happy hour after work! Got to sit outside on the patio great atmosphere! Drinks were good and the food was great!! Just ordered some pickers: fried pickles, Nashville hot popcorn chicken (so GOOD), and Caesar salad (amazing). Our server, Brian took care of us! Great personality!! Thank you!! Will definitely be back!“
“This was my first time here. I highly recommend. The environment was friendly and full of different groups of people having a blast. Some were watching the game on the big TV's, some were playing the available board games. The music was poppin'!!! People of all ages were there which I thought was cool. Everyone was having a blast and I will be back. Staff was friendly and helpful!“
“I love the burgers at twin peaks. I recently started going here, and I fell in love with the hangover burger. I buy the billionaire bacon as well, sooo good. I like the fries as well, but they have a bit too much seasoning for me. I also enjoyed the blonde beer. The staff is also pretty cool never had an issue with them. And I can't wait to go back and get another hangover burger.Vegetarian options: Salads and they have bean burgersDietary restrictions: Just ask them to take whatever off or exchange the meat for beansParking: A lot of parking just a tonWheelchair accessibility: There's a ramp in the front, I believe.“
“Impressive! I really wanted Falafel so hubby found this gem and ordered takeout. Needless to say we will definitely be back. The falafel was perfect. Pita was huge. The sauce was delicious, and the hummus, fantastic Hubby quite enjoyed his Gyro, so much so he’s on his way to get one for our son who said hey that sounds good. I look forward to more in the future. Be sure to check them out.“
“I sometimes have a hard time finding this little neighborhood bar. It's a gem. I feel like it's kind of like a phantom bar that phases in and out of existence, like something out of Brigadoon. It defines the word 'cozy'. The food went from reheated pizza to (now) very respectable bar food. It's always chill here, and the prices are right. Bar staff are consistently friendly. It's good that this place is hard to find. It's for locals, and people that know how to behave in bars. If you can't respect that, you shouldn't go.“
“Fun little southside bar. I usually go for trivia on Wednesdays and it's always a great time. Only complaint is it's a very small bar and doesn't have a lot of seating. All of the food I've tried has been good also. I highly recommend trying the wings.“
“Gordo's is great! Let me preface this review by saying I love Nashville Hot Chicken but outside of Nashville, TN is has been difficult to find a "hot" chicken that compares to what I've had in Tennessee. Some other places around the Burgh have Nashville Hot Chicken but the spice combinations don't work. At Gordo's the Nashville Hot Chicken Taco is so good with a perfect spice blend. It tastes like hot chicken tacos that I had at Pie Town Tacos in Nashville. Gordo's is the place in Pittsburgh to satisfy your hot chicken craving. Not to mention, their other menu items are delicious too. And they have great margs. My second favorite menu item is the Churoli- A churro and cannoli hybrid that rocks!“
“Paying homage to the steel workers who would (allegedly) bring a steak to work for lunch, slap it onto a cooling steel bar to sear it, and then flip it and repeat before eating, North Shore Tavern lives up to this age old tradition and modernizes it.A lightly (and deliciously) seasoned chunk of meat is brought out on a STEAMING hot stone. The aroma is amazing from the start. Grab your fork and knife, and then cut the meat into slices to finish up to your desired doneness.I opted for the lamb, and it was one of the best meals I’ve had in a LONG time. Perfectly seasoned, tender, and cooked exactly how I liked it, since I was the one finishing. Top it off with their chimichurri and it was literally worth writing home about ( I called my fiancée on the walk back to the hotel).Without a doubt a gem of Pittsburgh“
“This is me and Barry White, the owner! He is an amazing person, bought me a few drinks, made sure that I had a drink, and opened up the other part of the bar that also had pool tables, darts, and a jukebox. It was quieter in there, and he was kind enough to even turn the heat up for my friends and I. I love going here and will keep coming!“
“Not my first time in since the new owners but had the beef tacos again which are my favorite. Had some of their specialty drinks too which were perfect to have while me and my friends played darts and pool. Definitely going to go back more!“
“Being from Stamford, Connecticut and new to the area of Pennsylvania I find Mulligan's Sports Bar & Grill very comforting, The staff and customers are friendly, and the food is worth every bite. Mulligan's Sports Bar & Grill is very appreciated.“
“Best neighborhood bar you can find.Locals are welcoming and bartenders are great. The view is great and the owners are kind - everyone looks after each other and unless there's a random j**** you'll be treated well.tldr/ Great prices, great view, great neighborhood.“
“The wings were fantastically cooked. I am not a huge fan of the pizza sauce. I like a sweeter sauce, and this one had kick to it. Next time, I plan to say light on the sauce, or try one of the other options. We were part of a large group and the servers kept up with it, even though we were all over.“
“Super super friendly staff very fast with drinks and our food came out pretty quickly as wellAlot of food I got 12 wings big wings and decent amount of frys and it was karottate no I didnt sing but great place to get something to eat and or drinkParking: Big parking lot“
“Friendly owner and staff. The food is very good as well. I'm a regular hereParking: There is a parking lot that is free to parkKid-friendliness: People bring their children in sometimes.Wheelchair accessibility: Their is a ramp. No steps to climb“
“I love this down to earth blue collar lounge. They keep it simple and so are the prices. It is a great place for a burger and beer after riding the mountain bike in South Park. They can handle a group of friends too. The waitress and cook are very accommodating. They have daily specials like mum use to make. Who does like grilled cheese and a cup of hot tomato soup?!“
“I'm such a fan of Modern Cafe! Even though I no longer live in the area, any time I'm on the North Side this is my go to spot. The vibe is super casual - seat yourself. They have a large bar menu with local brews & cocktails. Their menu is really big with lots of options. I love the cheese sticks & zucchini plank appetizer - it comes with marinara and a horseradish sauce that is delicious. My go to has been the Turkey Rachel. It's delicious and very filling. It doesn't come with a side but we always get a basket of fries for the table to split, they're crinkle fries too (my favorite). Service is always quick and friendly. I always forget to take pictures though, but trust me, you don't want to miss out on this spot!“
“Came in for an EAGLES SUNDAY!! Our servers were the most friendly and attentive ladies. My dad and I split the classic 1 with no swiss and an order of hot garlic parm wings. The sandwich was great. The rye bread was lightly toasted and the red pepper relish was just the right amount of heat. The wing flavor was great and they were a decent size. We wished they were a little more crispy, but they were definitely a solid 8/10 as is. The fries were pretty good! They were lightly seasoned, but also not super crispy. They have two bathrooms, one downstairs and one outside. My dad said the one outside was clean, but the con is that you have to walk outside to get there. The decor inside is great. You can tell they love sports. The vibe is exactly what you want for a game day. I'll be back!“
“What a fun little spot to stop in for a drink before & after an event. We dropped by for the 1st time b4 the Pens game (& after if course). The owner Jimmy was so gracious, so friendly to talk with. The crowd wasn't too bad (we even started taking to a few other PENs fans, that was nice) , the food was really good. So if you're looking for a good place to hang out, grab a bite & a drink be sure to stop at Shale's. I know I'll definitely be back.“
“I came here a few weeks ago. It was a Friday and a group of ~10 of us dropped by after Edwin McCain performed. The place had a reasonable amount of people. I think Jessie was the only person working. If she wasn't, I'm really sorry I am overlooking the other person. I just remember interacting with Jessie each time we went to the bar. She was patient, quick, and effectively completed our drink orders. I don't know how she was handling everyone's orders so well, but she did an amazing job. She even had the energy to create a drink for me using the descriptor of "something sweet and/ or fruity." I can't recall what it was made of anymore, but I know that it was delicious enough that my other friend, who normally thinks some of my drinks are a little "too sweet," wanted one of her own after she tried a sip of mine. All in all, I'd return again if it can be guaranteed that Jessie will be our bartender, or that whoever is there was trained by Jessie to do the job. Again, no disrespect to anyone else who may have been working, but our crew remembered how great she was at taking all of our orders. To the owner, if you haven't done so in a while, I'd recommend giving her a raise. And I'll share my usual disclaimer (feel free to read prior reviews where I highlight the service): no, I don't personally know Jessie, nor did she pay me to say this. I truly did enjoy the service she gave me and my friends.“
“Come for the wings, stay for the wings! Not a fantastic beer selection, but if you want domestics on draft, this is your spot. It's perfect for watching whatever sports game you're looking for too. The staff is super nice and it's actually kinda quiet on a weekday...as long as it's not a playoff game.Yeungling for $3 on Wednesdays? Yes please!“
“Good Food, Awesome Staff, the amount of pictures of the owner was a touch I found odd, and something called "CumbBurger" had me laughing.Extra star given to offset Karen's one star because she brought in a party of 8 when they were already busy. This place is small, I would never try to bring more than 6 people at once, even then you would need 2 tables.Cumb, you seem like a fun guy, maybe even fun enough to bring in more business by just being there to talk to, but it kind of felt like a museum dedicated to your accomplishments.Keep living life to the max, I'd definitely come back.“
“This place was pretty fun. I randomly went here with a friend because we saw it was DJ night. Once we got there there are 2 separate areas. One for the dance floor and then the bar. If you wanted to order any food or drink during an event, you have to go to the bar to do so. The food was fairly priced and I loved their cheese fries! They use queso blanco!!!! And their burgers are huge! It overall was a cute place to go to listen to music and have some good vibes“
“Staff, food, and vibe is amazing. I’ve been going here for about 6+ months and the bartenders always greet my girlfriend and I warmly (we’re the 1 yuingling draft and bottle couple!). Doesn’t matter if it’s been a few days, months, or years, the staff at Saloon will always welcome you with a pint and open arms!“
“If you're looking for a place to go for great food and lots of laughs, this place is for you! They have several TVs to catch the big game! The bartenders are quick and attentive! And the food is on point! I highly recommend the wings! But they have a great selection of snacks and meals to choose from! Next time I go back, I will be trying the pizza!!“
“Having moved away, it's been thirty ish years since I last had a Primanti bros sandwich, and it's still as tasty as ever. Sure, slaw and fries in the sandwich may seem a little gimmicky, but it goes together well and you can see how it would have been convenient for workers/drivers in the strip district.Anyway, it's a busy sports bar. And a bit of Pittsburgh history, though you might not be able to tell since they're busy selling sandwiches and aren't trading on their local fame. Maybe the original shop in the strip district will have more memorabilia type of stuff. The Oakland one doesn't... And doesn't have room for it. IIRC the Oakland location was their first expansion out of the strip district. Now they have many locations in the greater Pittsburgh area.“
“Servers are very attentive and take very good care of you! The food was pub food, just okay. The boneless wings needed to be saucier. But we had such a fabulous time with karaoke! Saturday night karaoke was an absolute blast! Best karaoke we’ve been to! We will visit again and be back for sure ?“
