“So good! I got the Churro cheesecake crepe and it was delicious. They let the kids sample the ice cream to find the flavor they wanted and the staff was friendly. The menu and ice cream flavors are only written in Spanish though... but they do have pictures so you can see what the items are.“

“I visited this small yet quaint ice cream parlour today late in the afternoon at around dusk. The parlour was cold in the inside as expected for ice cream purposes.I got a large vanilla milkshake topped with whipped cream.I went with a few other cronies and the price was reasonable and affordable for it’s presumed rate of high prices. The ice cream itself was quite delectable and tantalising for my taste buds.“

“The vibrant colors and icy treats beckoned to me like a siren's call. Holy Gelati, Batman! What an icy adventure I had at Rita's Italian Ice. Nestled outside of Reading, in the heart of Shillington, this Rita's joint is the go-to spot for a frosty treat that hits the spot. The real cherry on top of this frozen fiesta was Allison herself. Not only was she a master at crafting the perfect ice concoction, but her friendly demeanor and infectious smile made the whole experience truly memorable. She even posed for a picture with me, adding an extra dash of superhero flair to my Rita's adventure. Thanks for being chill, Allison. Whether you're a local looking for a sweet escape or a crime fighter patrolling the hustling and bustling Lancaster Ave, Rita's Italian Ice is a must-visit destination. And if you're lucky, you might just get to chill out with the legendary BatmanJawn himself – action figure by day, ice cream aficionado by night. Thanks, Rita's, for a frosty-fantastic time! Be cool, eat a Rita's.“

“I love this place but they need to revamp the outside eating area. Possibly should add more tables or section the area so it is not in the middle of a parking lot by a Goodwill. Good food and service like every other Rita's though. Always appreciate a good mango and vanilla gelati.“

“Flashbacks to that time I entered Mr. Freeze's secret lair, but this place is much sweeter. I like to keep my enemies guessing. No villain would suspect Gotham's fearsome protector stopping for a soft serve with rainbow jimmies (that means “sprinkles” for you non-Philadelphians). This visit was the perfect tactical advantage. I ventured into the deep freeze for an ice cream cakes – talk about a chilling experience! (BatmanJawn is resistant to cold, of course). They've got a blizzard menu big enough to satisfy even the Riddler's sweet tooth. The door handles are shaped like giant Blizzard spoons! Now that is a commitment to the theme. There is have a massive outdoor seating area which is perfect for plotting your next crime-fighting move... or just enjoying a Cheeseburger - which this DQ serves as part of the “Grill & Chill” brand. I recommend the Peanut Butter Cup blizzard. It's a mix of sweet and salty, just like BatmanJawn's world of justice and corruption. The peanut butter provides the protein power-up a vigilante needs. Overall, the Kenhorst Dairy Queen is a cool spot to grab a frosty treat in the middle of a hot day. It gets the BatmanJawn stamp of approval, and that's saying something when you're used to facing off against Mr. Freeze! 🍦❄️“

“The real scoop on Scoupe deVille - 🎵 I Can't Help Falling in Love 🎵 with it. This place caught my eye several times when zooming by in the Batmobile - you can't miss the teal classic car parked out front. I quickly learned it is not just a small icecream shop with an old car parked out front. It is a blast-from-the-past-icecream-campus including museum elements, a mini outdoor theater, picnic spot and ice cream factory! The place has been around longer than Batman, being a service station back in the 1950’s. Pulled the Batmobile around back and where I found a large parking lot with several picnic benches in the shaded grass. Interconnecting the shop and a building next door was a large covered deck with outdoor seating. The deck featured a couch shaped like a car where you can watch a movie playing on the projector. The building next door had many more historic items and places to sit and eat delightful treats. The front porch had nice seating to “chill” out on. While making our way through the shop, we journeyed through the 50’s, where we saw a collection of nostalgic items curated through the years by original 2001 owners Doug and Sandy Paris. Current owner of 8 years, Mel, has since grown the collection even further over time. This fusion was the “dynamic duo” of history & legacy. Mel sure was the bees knees. You can tell she loves the shop and the surrounding community. Behind the shop is a big red building. It isn't ACME chemical, it is the ice cream factory, where her big brother makes all of the ice cream! After reviewing the three large vibrant and eloquently designed TV menus, we had a tough time deciding. There are over 40 scoop-able flavors, a Fat Elvis challenge bowl that is free if you can eat it in 30 minutes, mini hand dipped sundaes to go, several cone options, dozens of toppings, new ice cream nachos, water ice, gelatis, milkshakes, banana splits, and TWENTY FOUR SOFT SERVE flavors! Where can you find that many soft serve flavors?? For a place that served treats that get sticky when melted, Mel kept it immaculately clean. Please be sure to keep it that way by removing your baseball & softball cleats, boys and girls! While eating their Peanut butter ripple cone and Cookie monster cup, BatmanJawn, BatgirlJawn and Mel chatted. BatgirlJawn’s mouth and tongue turned a charming royal blue color - added entertainment. A team member in the background was making rounds ensuring the tables were squeaky clean while other families ate their treats with satisfying smiles. For a summer weekday evening after dinner, the place quickly formed a line. The way things are laid out with the entrance from the parking lot around the side of the building and the exit to the deck, it naturally moved people around the building and funneled them to the several generous seating areas. To show extra respect for the military, they offer a TWENTY PERCENT military discount!! This was a dessert visit, but since they are open April through October, our next adventure will be to eat from the food menu. 🎵 Don't Be Cruel 🎵 to your taste buds - when you are ready to experience the joy of icecream and old-time happy days, meet me at the intersection of Scoupe deVille Drive and Memory Lane. The good vibes & scrumptious sundaes await!“
