“LOVE this quaint, affordable, and really delicious spot. First time there and the place was full when we got there but I can understand why! It’s because the food is delicious and the people there are so freakin’ nice!! I am definitely going to be coming back and maybe (most likely) frequently!!“
“Like most diners, this one has an extensive menu. The implicit claim is that the kitchen is good at making ALL of them, but that is never true. On my first visit I ordered one of dishes they are good at, the meat loaf, and it was great. On the second visit I ordered grilled chicken salad and it was not good at all. It was tough rubbery chicken that had been refrigerated after cooking. The moral of the story is that you should get some help from the waiter about what is good.“
“Metro never disappoints! I’ve never not had a good meal, the service is always excellent, and the environment is clean. They also have the best ranch in town! Haha. Great place, great staff, I love it! Sarah provides excellent service, be sure to ask for her!“
“First time there, and my waitress (Paige...? Tall, willow-slender, 10,000 watt smile...) was courteous, efficient, and attentive. The coffee was refilled repeatedly and more quickly than I anticipated. Biscuits and gravy were plentiful; and with a slice of blueberry pie to round it all out, I left the establishment without a trace of hunger.“
“Really great service, awesome salad bar, all the food was amazing and came out very quick, the servers were very nice and were able to handle our big party and we loved all the food. Will be coming frequently and it is definitely the best diner in town!“
“Haven't been there for awhile but very very good. Service excellent, food hot and fresh. We had chicken parmigiano, broiled stuffed flounder and liver at our table. Everyone raved about their meals. We'll go back. Just there for breakfast, blueberry hot cakes hot, hugh and so good. Shorthandedbut service was still great.Updat: Had breakfast today, place was packed but service great, food hot and delicious. Still staying very busy and seem to have more staff. Minor issue, dinner came too soon after we got our salads.“
“I will forever be a fan of Diners and Diner food, and Media Diner is no exception. If you want every day breakfast and lunch foods for a reasonable price- this is your place! Is it one of the fancy spots on State Street? No of course not but if you want breakfast, Brunch, Coffee, Lunch, or even an affordable dinner- this is your place. Staff are quick and pleasant, and they don't have to take 20 minutes to explain what's in their menu. Want an omelette? Boom! Omelette appears!Parking: Parking lot is small but manageable. Busy times may require on street parking nearby.Kid-friendliness: Has a kids menu.“

“We are from York pa, whenever I visit the area to see my father, we have to have Gateway breakfast before getting back on the road to come home. Western omelet, meatlover omelet and eggs benedict are my favorites so far. Wife loves their chipped beef gravy. Can't wait till the next Philadelphia visit. I'd highly recommend this place.... A+ from me!“
“I live in NYC but am here for a few weeks scouting. If this place were closer to me it would be my comfort spot. I got the "mini meal crab cake" last night and I'd say it was more than a full meal for me- in fact, I'm eating my leftovers for breakfast. I'm from Chesapeake Bay vicinity (crab country) and was quite surprised by how good this was. Did I mention the cole slaw? I'm always looking for good cole slaw and this exceeded my standards. They confirmed they make it there and I can tell. Thank you Aaron + Kate for taking care of me last night while out on a night scout. What a perfect break.“
