“Town Hall / Firehouse diner closed awhile back and my brother and I just "discovered" this "Restauran-tey Americana Classico" tucked in the center of town. Ambiance? My 2 star is why we love these places..it's a Diner..the ambiance is " I am hungry, let's eat". Food was very good, prices were great, family owned and operated. We were very pleasantly surprised because we had passed this place dozens of times, now it is a comfort food destination.”

“The BEST ice cream in the world! While turning onto the driveway to the Lapp farm we knew it would be special. There is meticulous grounds, farm cats and dogs, you can feed the cows and walk around the property. There is a drive through too for convenience but we like sitting on their enclosed porch and enjoy the views. On some days you may see cats walking around pleading for a taste of your ice cream and a dog sleeping (snoring).The store has freshly made waffle cones, fresh milk to drink there or take home. The chocolate milk tastes like a shake. If we could find a dry ice company near by we would take gallons of ice cream back home.It's the best!3/26/24 Update: Been coming here for over 15 years. Best of the best. If I were to ever start my own ice cream store in New Jersey, I would work a deal with Lapps to sell their brand in my shop.”

“Romeo's is an absolute gem! The food is exceptional. When we need a casual lunch or dinner when hosting guests, I never hesitate to serve them Romeo's. Not only is the food outstanding, their customer service is superb, something lacking in other restaurants. They genuinely want you to have an fantastic experience with their food and service. “Great fun and excellent smoothie! The only downside is that it can be tricky to get in at that busy intersection. The staff must do energy shots all day. They are in the zone ! “I had the best acai bowl my lips have ever touched in my life. On a warm spring day, I walked into this establishment and was greeted by the kind, altruistic, sweet man at the counter. He then proceeded to make the best BLT and acai bowl I have ever eaten. Me, my wife, and my daughter would love to come back as soon as possible. Anyways, we loved it here! <3”

“We enjoy the hot pretzels made on the property by very hard working Amish women. These enterprising women bring their children with them. We have dipped the pretzels in their cheese sauce. They are delicious.Inside their shop, are excellent products to purchase. Annie’s mustard is excellent. Some products are sold on Amazon but much more expensive.We visit the area a few times a year. We always stop here.We also stay at one of the Bird in Hand hotels/motels/B&B properties. The properties include “ free bus” tour of the Amish countryside with excellent orientation of the Amish people by van driver. We love this store.”

“My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our Saturday night out at Meraki Manor. We sat at the bar with Kearstin, and several "regulars" like Ed, and a nice mature couple from Geigertown. All were very welcoming.The food was fantastic. We shared Stuffed Mushrooms, Stuffed Shrimp, Scallops, and an amazing Filet. Got some Maryland Bisque, and Lemon Cake to go. Again, fantastic ! Best, best, food and atmosphere we have enjoyed in quite a while. Loved it ! Also, the owners, and the rest of the staff were equally as friendly. Can't wait to go back !!”

“The rolls were amazing! Got two special rolls the sweetheart and fireball. Both were delicious! The flavor and texture were amazing, they were also generously filled.I admit, I'm not one to order rolls or sashimi that have slices of raw fish, as I tend to have a hard time with the texture and taste. The first time I was introduced to sashimi it was a thick slice of chewy fish that was not pleasant to my palate. However, Sumo Sushi may have turned this around. The sweetheart roll had a slice of tuna on the outside that was delicately flavored and buttery soft, it may have completely changed my mind about these types of rolls! I look forward to trying more of their selection in the future. Thank you so much!!”

“The food for the two of us was ready in less than 10 min. The pulled pork on fries with cheese sauce and BBQ is delicious! My husband enjoyed his pulled pork sandwich also! The soft pretzels were soft and a definite recommend. The triple chocolate ice cream had an excellent flavor, but was perhaps a bit icy.”

“Probably the best Italian food in Berks county. This place has been open since 1936, it is so good that it needs no big advertising, people know this place because somebody else told them about it. Their small menu tells you that they have mastered every single plate, and the specials are always incredible; the wine selection is excellent as well. “We had my son’s 3rd birthday party here recently and everything was amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful, the space was clean, and the ice cream was amazing. We were allowed to move around tables and hang things on the wall which is really rare when you rent a place for a party. All the guests commented on how amazing this place was. We will definitely be back and will try to have my son’s party here next year.”
