“Driving home across 80 from New York to Ohio. Needed a break and some food and saw this on google maps. The name grabbed my attention. Arrived 20 minutes before closing but had great service. Smoked turkey and deviled eggs were great. Smoked cheesecake was killer. Pro tip - pour their hot vinegar on the smoked mac & cheese. Fun interior vibes. Not sure if we’ll drive this route again, but if we do, we will definitely return.“

“What? 5 stars for DENNYS!? Yes, my little festerlings, it is so and there's a 1st for everything. No Dennys I've reviewed has achieved this mighty merit!

1st off, The hours posted here are wrong. They close at 10:00 p.m., not 8:00 p.m.

My food was excellent, and we'll get to that in a second, but what put this place over the top and got that fifth star, was my server, Brice (sp)?

This kid is a machine! Granted they weren't busy, but he was taking care of all the customers that were here, and very keen to detail.

This guy definitely needs a raise or higher position.

I walked in 45 minutes until closing. Now at most Denny's wait staff would scoff, sigh, and roll their eyes and reluctantly show you your way to your table. Brice? Take care of a customer that was paying, let me pick where I wanted to sit, cleaned off my table, got my drink and took my order.

I'm a pain in the ass sometimes when it comes to ordering, so I ordered a Cobb salad with salmon, that didn't want any carrots or croutons, and wanted both balsamic and blue cheese dressing. He didn't need to write anything down, told me he would get my order just the way I wanted it, and boy did he!! He came back to check on me and refilled my drink.

This is one of the best salads I've had at a Denny's, at least an early long time.

Decorum is your typical Denny's, and one of the cleaner restaurants I've been in, I can say.

I knew exactly what I wanted for supper when I knew I was getting here from Jersey. And this is one of the rare times that I was excited and anticipating great meal, and actually got it, with the side of excellent service.

Thank you Denny's Brookeville, and thank you Brice for being the benchmark and setting the bar for what Denny's nationwide SHOULD be!

If I'm over through here again, I'm definitely stopping back for another great meal!“
