I've been getting food here for years, and I feel as though the Al Pastor has gone very much down in quality. It used to be a great balance of salty pork with sweet and savory pineapple, but now I feel like I'm lucky to see even one piece of pineapple in mine. Last time I ordered - the weekend of March 13 - I got food poisoning which landed me in the hospital. I did not eat anything else over the weekend due to this so I feel, unfortunately, that it may have come from here.

I'm not one to slam a place for one bad experience... I would be willing to give them another try, as I have said I was going here for years before this incident. But I'm also nervous to do so.

The food here was great. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Everyone of us really enjoyed what we ordered. I loved my fajitas. Shrimp was cooked perfectly. I was impressed with the size of the pollo quesadilla. Fed my kid for another kid.

Food is okey while I have tacos and guacamole Tacos was good n but Guacamole is so so. The hospitality is so so. they need more friendly and ‘nice customer service. It was ok for one time.

Perfect spot for lunch! Asada burrito was really good, all the ingredients were really fresh. Chicken tamale was delicious! The supreme taco and beef tostada were delicious as well. You can really tell that everything was made fresh. We also got plantains and Ice cream for dessert. They were made perfectly. Not pictured was the chips and queso. The queso was perfect!! The service was wonderful! Can’t wait to come back!

Las Fridas is a cozy, delicious Mexican spot in Bryn Mawr. The asada steak burrito and street corn were super tasty, and all the ingredients seemed top quality and fresh. Definitely will be back when I’m in the area

Tacos are one of my favorite foods. The menu has a selection of appetizers, soup, sslads, and entrees. Great lunch! The tortilla soup is paacked with flavor. The Al Pastor Street taco is a combination of sweet and savory fish taco and shrimp taco topped with perfect ingredients.

Some of the best Mexican food me and my sons have had (outside of Mexico). Good portions, good prices, friendly service and BYOB. Lamb tacos (Birria) are a must try. Really good Guacamole and chips. Our new favorite😀

So glad that Las Frida’s in Bryn Mawr has reopened. The vegetable dishes are very fresh and of high quality. This place has the best Mexican food in the area.

And for our 33rd date, my sweetheart and I went to Las Fridas on Valentines Day. With his two daughters. And a son-in-law. And his ex-wife. Yes, it was a regular Woody Allen movie. These were the circumstances: His ex-wife and out-of-town daughter had flown in to attend a wedding that weekend. His local daughter organized the get together. I appreciated the opportunity to meet his eldest daughter. And I enjoyed meeting his ex-wife. We talked at length about her plans to move to the Philly region in a couple of years, probably to a retirement community. I asked whether she had ever considered condo living in center city, and we made a plan for me to give her a tour on her next visit, which ocurred in May. Yes, in May, I escorted her, her local daughter and new grandbaby (born in March), and my sweetheart through a center city tour of some condos, and how convenient they are to life's necessities (groceries and pharmacies) and entertainment. We had a great day. During the tour, they accompanied me in viewing a space I'm considering for hosting a memorial for my mother. It was an emotional moment for me - I appreciated their gentle support. We ate lunch at K'Far. We got ice cream at 1919. We strolled through Rittenhouse Park.We got batteries for our watches. And, the tour changed his ex-wife's mind! She's now seriously thinking of moving to center city! How many of you can say that you made a suggestion to someone that was embraced? I discovered over the course of the day that the ex-wife and I have a lot if shared interests. Who knows, one day we may all be living in center city and I'll be asking her if she wants to join me in hearing a student concert at the Curtis Institute.

The food, service and atmosphere at Fridas were all outstanding. It was a cold evening, and my sweetheart was wearing his super warm Uniqlo parka that was about the size and weight of a fourth grader. As we went to our table his coat knocked a few salt and pepper shakers off the table.

And thus ends the dating diaries, but not the dating!
