“Very friendly and hospitable staff, made me feel right at home. Nice pool table and great jukebox with wide array of music choices. Pizza was hot and was simply delicious, the wings were to die for. “I was pleasantly surprised. My husband got two of the specials - beef vegetable soup (which tasted very close to my home made beef vegetable soup) and the DK mushroom Swiss burger. I had the battered onion rings and western burger. So much food, I took home left overs. And it was absolutely delicious.The service was great, friendly and personable.The restaurant was very cute, small and clean.I didn't enter the bar, but I might go back to check that out.“

“An Institute Hill institution (no pun intended) . A great place to meet with friends, and grab a drink after work. Maybe stop by and shoot a game of pool or through some darts The Jukebox has a great selection, and check out the 80 inch flat screen,for sporting events. A great crowd and staff. If your lucky you may run into the owner whose always glad to see you.“

“This is a good place to have events. They have a decent bar selection and the prices are good. Food selection is ok and service is ok. Acoustics are good for sound for an event. Parking is generally readily available as well. The restrooms are not necessarily handicapped accessible.

“WOW! What a fantastic, fun little venue tucked away in the rolling hills of PA! We drove down from MI to catch Reb Beach's solo show and it was one of the most unique and fun shows we ever attended. It was like throwing a party in your back yard with a hundred or so friends and having a bunch of kick-ass bands play for you in an intimate and relaxed setting! Good food and drink, friendly staff, we will be back and encourage our friends to join us! (And a GIGANTIC thank you for the banner!!!)“

“Huge portion sizes, delicious food, great service, and I feel like I'm at the beach! I'll definitely keep coming back. Barefoot is definitely a hidden gem here in Gilpin. I've never had an issue with the service, and the staff is quick to keep your drinks filled. And I feel like I'm getting the best bang for my buck, in regards to the portions. I hope it continues, and I look forward to future trips.“

“The servers here are great. Both ladies that took care of us were very friendly and made great suggestions. The food is great and they have a huge selection. Highly recommend. One thing to note is the steep stairs you have to climb to get to the main entrance. This may be difficult for a handicap person.“

“This member's lodge is exactly what you expect. Good people, good food, cheap drinks, laughs. Great wings. We joined the first time we were invited as guests because it was exactly what we needed. Plus, shooting range and catch and release pond. The dues are ultra affordable and it's a great way to meet people from the area. Highly recommend.“
