“If you're looking for a quaint little place right in the heart of downtown Carbondale, this is the spot for you. If you're looking for the perfect little breakfast or lunch spot, you've found it. The menu has a variety of options that is sure to make everyone happy. You should definitely try their homemade soppressata.“
“I love going to McDonnell's! The food and service and atmosphere are so cozy and delicious and the prices are great! I love that we can have breakfast anytime of the day. Especially since my man and son both work nights so their breakfast time is in the evening. The food has a yummy homemade vibe so whoever is doing the cooking there clearly loves what they do! Not once did we have bad service and that says a lot because many places these days have horrible service! My new favorite place to eat since coming to Carbondale! I recommend the beef slices in au jus for dinner. The green fielder or French toast for breakfast and any of the burgers for lunch! Bravo! ????Parking: I park across the street right on Main where there aren't any meters and walk over. If you don't want to walk you have to use a meter (depending on the time of day)Kid-friendliness: I haven't seen any kids in there yet or young families however I know the staff would be great if there are kids. Everyone is super sweet! I don't have young children so I didn't take notice of the kid's menu, so I'm not sure what is available.Wheelchair accessibility: There are different areas to sit inside. The one area that's opened at night requires a step but they'll hopefully accommodate you if you're in a wheelchair and let you sit in the dining hall or something.“
“I had lunch with my brother & 2 of my sisters ❤️ ? to all !!! This restaurant is the same as it was years back before I moved to Florida. It was great to go back home and somethings like Alexander's just put the comfort in family get togethers.“
“I stop by Longworth’s every two weeks or so to have breakfast. The service is great, the food is excellent, and the overall atmosphere is very welcoming. If you are looking for an amazing start to your morning and enjoy supporting local small businesses, this is the place for you!“
“We visited on a Saturday, just a few minutes before 11am (they open at 9am) and they were already sold out of their breakfast special (cinnamon bun pancakes), so that was a bummer-make sure you get there early! they close at 2 so their hours are hard to accommodate if you work a 9-5. The food was delicious, friendly staff, clean environment, order at the counter.“
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Really nice place to eat. We ordered the parmesan French fries, pizza, and boneless chicken bites. Everything was delicious. The flavors were on point and the portions were generous. The service was friendly and attentive, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. The food was served quickly, and the ambiance of the place added to the overall positive experience. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a tasty meal in a stylish setting.“
“This is a hidden gem in the town of Carbondale. Such a warm and welcoming atmosphere in here. The food is amazing and the chef really loves what he does. They do a trivia night which I didn't participate in personally, but I had so much fun just drinking coffee and having dinner while listening to the trivia night take place. Eric personally comes up with all of the questions and is interactive with all of the customers. I recommend trying the Guinness stew , it's out of this world!! I left there full and with a smile on my face! This is the kind of place you can bring the whole family. I highly recommend The Chip & Stone!“
