“About fifteen of us descended on the Diner at about 11:00 a.m. recently. We were burying a loved one in the National Cemetery and had an hour and a half between the funeral service and the service at the cemetery. Because some of the family had driven in from Ohio, they had not had breakfast. I explained our situation to the hostess, and suggested we split up into smaller parties to make the service easier and faster. They were stellar! We were seated, served and checked out in plenty of time. The food was excellent and the servers were extremely accommodating. They deserve accolades.“

“If you like a hometown, locally owned restaurant feel, this is a great place to visit. It has a bit of a Rustic / Grandma's kitchen vibe. Food is excellent! Omelettes are in my opinion stellar, with the proper amount of all ingredients. Bacon is awesome, thin and crispy, just how I like it! Pancakes are also excellent and super tasty. Overeasy eggs are also cooked perfectly. Carry and Barb are 2 of the best breakfast chefs I have had out, period.. As of 2023 I'm 50 years old so have had breakfast a ton of places locally and nationally. I live about 3 miles away from the restaurant location so since I discovered it I try to stop once or twice a week. Definitely one of Pittsburgh's hidden local neighborhood gems. It is one of those small local places where if you know how good it is, you KNOW, and remember....“

“My sister Debbie got me triple berry muffins today. Only thing I can say is I am hooked. I can't leave my house but I will certainly have Debbie get me more delicious food. Thank you“

“We dined here for the first time and what a local gem! My family and I had a fantastic breakfast in this restaurant. Our server was new and great! The menu is quite extensive and we all got different Breakfast choices, and each one was delicious! We will definitely return and I would highly recommend Ma and Pop’s Country Kitchen. I didn’t take any photos, but my personal favorite was the mixed grill. They are very generous serving and I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!

Parking: It’s a nice size parking lot. It was just crowded. But I would not report any complaints.“

Couldn't recommend this place enough. Just make sure you bring cash as it's a cash only establishment!“

“I love, love, love this gem. It's an old school Isaly's with the original diner type light fixtures that hearken me back to my childhood when my grandpap used to take us to Isaly's for ice cream. My top choices here are the western omelet, the reuben, and the potato salad (which tastes exactly like my grandmothers.

I do wish the deli counter had grab and go sides, and more deli meats and cheese. I would have taken a giant container of potato salad home!!!“

“I had a great experience at Vallient Diner. It has been years since I have been and now that I have a little one of my own it seemed fitting. Kind and friendly staff and patrons. “I’ve been here twice and genuinely think this is one of the best spots to spend a block on. I’ve only come for breakfast, but each time they’ve had eggs, potatoes, taters, fresh fruit, omelets, bagels, cereal, yogurt, and several other options. You get full control over the portion size and can eat literally as much as you want, so I highly recommend coming here when you’re hungry.“

“Char was our waitress tonight after the Pens game. She was so pleasant and good at her job! I did not catch the host's name, she was amazing as well. We first went to the Denny's just minutes away and they told us it would be a 30 minute wait. Well, I'm glad that we left and found these wonderful people! The food was delicious. Then I Can Have Dinner For Breakfast!

And that is exactly what I said when I ordered the special Beetlejuicy Burger at Denny's this morning! ??
It's was hard to eat, but worth it because it filled me up enough to stop at the fries!
We didn't have to wait too long at all, and the atmosphere was nicely decorated for fall.
This definitely made me turn on the juice, but now I'm going to suffer through what shakes loose! ?
Overall, I'd give it a 9.2/10
