“Jays Steaks in Royersford PA has to be the most amazing steak I've had in forever.I had a provolone steak with long hots, the roll was scooped and toasted and it was chewy and held up the steak, not soggy, not under or over cooked. This was as near perfect a steak as I've ever had.You can taste the pride and love put into their steaks. It is a small family owned business that works on word of mouth. “I grew up on Pudge's cheese steaks and thought as a kid that all cheese steaks were the same, because I only ever had Pudge's. Boy was I wrong. I moved out of Penn Square Village when I was about 20. If you asked me what I miss most, it would be Pudge's. I moved to Pottstown about 25 years ago and looked for a good cheese steak shop. Mary, one of the drive-thru workers and cashiers gave me the most pleasant fast food experience I have ever had. “I entered this Dairy Queen location on September 20th, 2021. I entered a bit after they closed but the worker was super nice, kind, intelligent and understanding. He was aware that the online hours were wrong and apologized for it. He politely explained the situation and said it was completely out of his control in a relaxing manner. Since I am aware that he is just working by himself I was completely understanding that he is just a regular worker and does not have he ability to change the hours online. “Went there today for lunch. Well, the staff is friendly but I don't dig the QR code ordering deal. I would like to be waited on by courteous staff and leave a generous tip. In the end, we did have to ask them to please take our order because there were some things in the app that were not clear. The staff was nice, but it is highly suggested that they tend to the clientele just a bit more in the beginning to see if someone really would like to have table service. I didn't feel like I was walking into a cafeteria or self-service fast food restaurant, and that actually was a plus. But I expect the service to go along with it. I don't personally agree with pooling the tips. When someone waits on a table and does a great job, they should get the tip, but I guess if a lot of people order on their own, that could be difficult in the end for the full staff. I saw the special note about the plans for hiring different individuals and that is great. I just think there are some bugs to be worked out most likely.“
