“I heard by word of mouth that the Vintage Tavern had the best Philly style cheesesteaks in the Poconos. If you enjoy a great cheesesteak do not make this place anything other than your next stop for one. I also sampled the fries and they were equally spectacular. I will be going back soon! As a bonus they have a late 50s to mid 60s vibe.”

“My wife and I are new to the area and wanted to try a new restaurant. I went online and saw that there was a country style diner complete with homemade desserts and huge portions. I had the Barell Burger and my wife had the Blue Burger. First off, you are really taken in by all the great decor in the restaurant. This place reminds me of Country Junction in Lehighton how they have it decorated. The coffee mugs are huge! We had dana and Carly as our servers and when I tell you these two are hands down the happiest waitresses I've ever had wait on us. You really can tell that they love thier customers. We will be back on Sunday for breakfast. Great place.”

“To start the service I received was above and beyond excellence. I placed a take out order and from the moment the man behind the counter learned my name he addressed me as such there forward. That simple act made the experience go from being a normal customer to feeling like I was a local and I had been coming here my whole life. When placing my order any question I could have was answered before I could even think of it. The order was made in great time even though the place was pacted. The food itself was delicious and perfectly cooked.”

Always friendly weight staff and owners, and I have a chance to speak with one of the owners last week and he’s a stand-up guy. The BlackWatch cafe is adorable, cozy, so unique. The selection is so innovative so it has a lot more to offer than just coffee. They definitely have a foam art and they do not disappoint here. They have smoothie that people rave about as well! But can we talk about the building itself? The roaring fireplace at the entry is perfect for a winter’s day or Autumn night! It's loaded with history and decorated with classic literary and fan pieces, interesting conversation pieces, and fun works of art. In particular the chicken tenders and biscuits surprised me with their exceptional texture and flavor. Tenders crispy and moist on the inside and biscuits NOT dry like KFC or Popeyes—instead peel-apart flaky and buttery. Highly recommend trying this spot!”
