“What a charming little restaurant! I sat at the bar on a work trip for an early dinner, which they actually have a menu for! Prices are reasonable for the city, and 4-6 is happy hour so I came at the right time for great prices and drinks and appetizers. Would definitely recommend! Plus this is walking distance to many nice hotels downtown. Only 5 min walk from the Kimpton Palomar! Would recommend calling ahead to ensure availability.“

“Delicious food, knowledgeable staff, great beer selection. The food comes out so hot and fresh, honestly it is the hottest food I've ever had at a restaurant. Clearly it's not sitting under heat lamps and it's run right away. Tonight I devoured the cheese tortellini, I've had the chicken parmesan 2 times and the Brussel sprouts 2 times. The fish tacos on taco Tuesday were good too (not pictured). It can get loud, but that doesn't deter from the quality of food and service.“

“Great atmosphere and a solid menu. The fig and walnut pizza was decent, but not great. The chipotle burger was very good. There’s a good cocktail and beer list, and a decent amount of specials. There’s a good size parking lot around the back on the other side of the street. Otherwise street parking is tough.“

“Brick & Brew was an outstanding experience overall. The atmosphere was vibrant, energetic, and packed, which added to the excitement of the visit. The food was absolutely top-notch—the chicken wings were excellent, the shrimp appetizer was superb, and the shrimp gyro was awesome, served with plenty of fries. The Paper Plane cocktail was a standout and truly superb. The only downside was the restrooms, which could use some improvement. Aside from that, it was a fantastic spot with great food, drinks, and ambiance. Definitely a place worth visiting!“

“Treated ourselves to this place we saw on diners driveins and dives after shoveling a whole bunch of snow. The atmosphere is great, packed especially for a winter storm day. There were only three servers and one of them had to bartend as well, but food and drink came super fast. They are doing the best they can!

Got their brunch special with duck (which is absolutely delicious), a veggie burger, French onion soup (urgently needed in this weather), 1 cocktail and 2 desserts. Total came up to $77 before tax and tips. Great deal. Totally worth walking half an hour in 20 inches of snow for.“

“Was there last night for early dinner and stayed to see the Eagles first TD. Food was fresh and extremely tasty. The vibe here is great. The service was excellent. Our server, Max, was very personable and gives very good recommendations. Max is not the only server like this. It seems to be the culture there. They have a lot of loyal customers. When we left the was a couple looking for a place to eat and watch the game. I quickly recommended Glory. If in Old City and near Chestnut and 2nd give them a try. You won’t be disappointed.“

We had to wait a few minutes so she got us 2 stools to sit on while we ordered our beer. Minutes later our table was ready! We ordered the Guinness Casserole and left nothing on that plate! She came over to check on us and saw that we had no soda bread and got us a plate full. We boxed a few pieces to take back with us to enjoy at breakfast. As we left we thanked her and I told her that everything was FANTASTIC and showed her the bread we were going to take home! She then took the box and filled it for us so we had enough for long drive home! I will come back anytime I'm in Philly. I have told all my friends and family to come here. It is a wonderful place. “Stopped here this past weekend and got some of the most delicious sandwiches! Started with the Tuna Tartare which was phenomenal and each had a sandwich for dinner. The vodka parm sandwich and the french dip were delicious and the sesame rolls tasted so fresh. Would recommend to anyone in the area!“

The burger came with just fries and it had a very fresh seasoning: fresh heated up shallots on fries and sage seasoning. The combination you can describe in high end food places and this is just a bar! The bar is a late period design art nouveau with a pretty surprising design - whoever created it they imagined this bar in art noveau from the perspective to be seated in the middle (where they actually have a check machine now). “I held my husband’s 30th birthday at Cav’s and it was excellent! Mike the manager communicated well and the booking process was simple. I looked into several places in the city to have this party and Cav’s by far had the most reasonable prices for open bar and food. We got the whole upstairs to ourselves and it was a great size for 30 people but definitely could accommodate more comfortably!

Our guests loved all of the food!! The wings were particularly good and Cav’s gave us plenty so we had enough to take home after. Also, the open bar was a hit. The bartenders were extremely accommodating to our guests requests and always ready to fill their drinks. Special shout out to Courtney specifically!! She was excellent!! My guests loved her. She remembered everyone’s drink orders and had an awesome attitude the entire time.
