“Spoilt food. I am a regular here and pick up lunch meals often. Food was consistently good until yesterday. Sambar was spoilt and straight away smelled obnoxious. I get it that items like sambar are not made fresh daily but the owners and the chef should have the basic human courtesy to check for quality before selling it. Taste can be off but quality is non negotiable. It is sad that an indian restaurant with good name in the area is going down the drain like this. Never ordering here again.“

“Fabulously tasty food! Authentic to its roots. No "chain restaurant" fare here. The owners are great. I've only ordered carry-out (no dine-in) so far. This will be a "regular" for my wife and I. Recommended!👍“

“Malgudi Cafe feels like home. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. And the food is excellent. The food served at Malgudi Cafe is the food I'm served when I visit my friend's homes in India. It's a taste of India in Exton. The food is prepared to order and is consistently delicious, so I don't mind waiting occasionally. I also appreciate that I can ask any server for help. Anyone carrying a white handheld terminal can add to my order and close my check. It's convenient, especially when they're busy. My current favorite dish is the vegetable uttapam. I spent 3 1/2 weeks in India earlier this year and didn't find any uttapam that was better than Malgudi Cafe. Same goes for the chai - it's outstanding. Do yourself a favor and get to Malgudi Cafe. You'll be glad you did!“

“Not your usual Indian! You’ll be greeted by the chef a very handsome softly spoken man who is very attentive & also very persuasive into letting him take charge of what you will eat. Pleasantly surprised was the outcome after 3 courses & lovely wine. The staff are one step ahead & know your every need from filling your glass to opening the toilet door for you. Lovely just lovely ☺️“

“Best biryani in the Exton/Downingtown area. Went with a friend for a sit down lunch on a Friday afternoon. The restaurant has limited parking and is small on the inside. We had no problem parking or getting a table though. Had a couple of Simosas as appetizers and Biryani as the main dish. Both were top notch. The Biryani serving was also very generous and I had to take some to go. I will definitely be going back.“

“I had lunch at this restaurant and tried the Jalapeño Gobi 65—it was superb! It tasted incredibly fresh, unlike anything I’ve had before. I also had Mandi, which came with a variety of chicken types, and it was excellent. And also I refer to eat onion pakoda for snacks, Definitely worth trying!“

“I have been going here since they opened bBest Indian food at a reasonable price. Food is also delicious. Eventhough there is language problem I still get by and go back whenever I crave for Indian food.
They also sell fresh goat meat, chicken all cleaned and cut into pieces. There is also seating if you prefer to dine in. There are no servers, it’s like fast food places, get your food and dine. Highly recommend this place.“

The flavors are rich, and the portions are generous without feeling heavy.

“I’ve been going to Asian Halal for 10 years now. First to the Bensalem store and now to the Exton store. It’s in a convenient location with plenty of parking. I always order the meat and food over the phone and it’s promptly ready on time.The meat from their meat shop is cut fresh, packed neatly in trays and cheaper than other stores. They also do speciality meat cuts if you preorder just like any other butcher shop.The food is always hot and fresh and extremely reasonably priced compared to other Indian/desi restaurants.Their chicken tikka masala and kabobs are great. We always let them know to make it mild and they ensure that the food is not overly hot or spicy. We also really like their goat/lamb qorma which is delicious and fresh naan.The staff is very friendly and cooperative. However, I have realized that a lot of customers who come there sometimes act very impatient and impolite. These same people would act differently when they go to other high end stores and wait patiently in line. I’ve witnessed people arguing with the staff about paying for an extra 0.2 lbs of meat in a package. I believe the staff handle such nonsense very humbly. Overall I would highly recommend this store and restaurant.“
