“Environment, prices, taste. We just left. We arrived about 545. The wait was just under 20 mins- the place was packed. The waitress was very attentive and polite. However, the fettuccine Alfredo was cold, the noodles could have been cooked another minute or two, and it only had about 2 tablespoons of sauce. I had to ask for more. But it was delicious. Then when she came to ask about the check, she didn’t ask if we wanted coffee or dessert. All the Food came out as ordered and timely. The prices were very fair.”

“I had the meat ball sub today and was blown away. I didn't even know how to eat it because it was overflowing with meat balls. It was delicious! The owner gave me daughter some complementary meat balls and bread. Highly recommend.”

“Stopped here while traveling, tired, a bit grumpy and hungry. That changed during our visit tho! Great experience! Becky was our server and she was awesome! Food was yummy. Environment was comfortable, not fancy ( we didn’t want that anyway!) but clean and interesting. I noticed that there kids, older folks, singles, younger 20’s people, bikers, and families. Obviously Gateway appeals to everyone and that’s really neat. 😁. Saved on my maps to stop there again for sure next time we are that way! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻”

Being just a short drive from Philly, the home of the original cheesesteak, I grew up spoiled by boardwalk food that nothing else could top. “Found this place by accident and I will definitely go back. I got an omelet; it was huge and came with a mountain of seriously delicious toasted home-made two-tone rye bread and home fries. The portions were generous; everything was cooked to perfection and the service was great. Everyone needs to check this place out—it’s amazing!”

“Have the cold brew! It's got a certain je ne sais quoi about it. It's in the finish, there's something unique about the ending taste. I haven't had it doctored up, just cream, so maybe it's something that could go unnoticed, but if you're into an uncomplicated cold drink, get a cold brew with cream!”

We love how they are individual sized for each person & there are so many combinations you can create...whoever gave a bad review for the service is a Karen, it's a seat yourself small place, you turn in your order on a card & they bring it too you, & you pick whatever drink you want out of their coolers, they aren't going to bother you 20x's asking if you need anything because there are no waiters/waitresses, it's just casual. Also someone complained about gloves....what authentic hand tossed wood stove pizza place have you seen that throws it in the air with gross plastic gloves on? They wash their hands, just like ANY other cook, they aren't handling raw meats, smh.”

“I don't drink anymore which is a shame, cause this place has some awesome alcohol choices.

We do get food to go from here occasionally though and it's always absolutely delicious. Their burgers are excellent, as are the French fries, but the real gem is the wings. I assume they use ground chicken (totally guessing) just based on the fact that I have never once bitten into a piece of gristle. The flavors are all delicious, though my favorite is the Dumpster sauce. Basically a hot garlic.

Price is fair really, you get quite a lot of food. The inside is super nice now - it was always decent, but they've made some small changes and it really pulled everything together. So if you want a place to eat great food and drink and watch sports, you can comfortably do that now.

Give them a try, you'll probably love it.”

“My husband and I enjoyed our first experience in the sauna room followed up by the Odyssey Elixir drinks. It was so peaceful and private in the sauna. It felt so good! Abigail made us feel right at home since we never tried a sauna before. The drinks we were offered after were delicious! From start to finish, it was a great experience. Highly recommend this business!”

“My beautiful wife and I were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary at the Tannery as we have been doing for the last couple years.
The food is always excellent! The dining area is always clean and has a nice warm and comfortable feel to it.
You can dress formal or not and still feel very welcome with the great staff.
We had the broiled haddock and the chicken marsala for dinner.
Both very good.
The haddock was a little heavy with the lemon pepper seasoning but still very good. Perfect texture.
The chicken was so tender and juicy and not overloaded with sauce as some places do.
The tater tots were crispy and done the way tots should be done! Yum!
Very reasonable prices on everything.”

“Typical subway. Foods legit. Service is legit also. Love the location too cuz I love right up the street lol prices are kinda high now tho, like $10 for a footlong tuna with cheese and lettuce only? Make sure ya use coupons! Also, they're NOT slicing meats fresh like they're now advertising. They're slicing meats BEFORE THEY OPEN and using those all day. I've eaten at multiple locations since the new slicing thing was introduced and I have yet to see anyone slice anything. Be warned.”

“5 stars!! We had a group of 3 people around 2:45pm-3:50pm and the service that we received from Dylan was PHENOMENAL!! He was bright and engaging as well as very time efficient! Just the utter kindness and the happy energy beaming from him was such a joy to experience and he made us all feel like family! The food was prepared perfectly and efficiently as well as tasted delicious! ( I personally got the chicken bruschetta with broccoli and the garden rice ) 10/10 recommend!!”

“This place was kept basically the same since the doors opened in 1971. Personally I think that's awesome. The staff are very nice and perfectly attentive. They're there when you need them but not bothering you when your mouth is full of food. Iykyk. There wasn't a drink they didn't know how to make and the food was better than expected. Great atmosphere in my opinion.”

“Literally the best Margherita Pizza we've ever had. We stopped in DuBois traveling back to Massachusetts and on a whim, ordered from M&M Scottos. My husband, Joe, and I could not believe how good this pizza was. The sauce and the crust were just amazing!! I'm sad we aren't local because this would definitely be a regular spot for us!!”

“We tried their hand tossed crust pizza for the very first time one day this past week. The pizza was incredible and so delicious! We can’t wait to try the pepperoni rolls. Staff was super friendly. We definitely will be getting our pizza again here. Awesome job Buck’s pizza!”

“Only stopped for a drink and to check out the menu. We were looking for more than burgers and wings. The bartender was very nice and sociable. She said the menu is limited which it was see previous but she recommend a couple places in the area. Had a drink and moved on. But when in the area will stop again. Nice inside.”

Been coming here for years and this place has never changed! Always go with the salad bar - nice range of soups, breads, pastas, and of course desserts. The ice cream machine is a must!

Just a classic spot in DuBois. Won't be disappointed if you end up at Hoss's!”

“I just recently went to Charlie's for the first time, and I absolutely loved it!
The food was fantastic. The first time I went, I was given the wrong order, and the waitress apologized and quickly adjusted and got me the correct order which was lovely!
The staff is very kind, polite and patient.
It's very spacious inside, I'm a big fan of how dark it is, however I know some people might have trouble seeing their menus with the dark.
It seems like they host a lot of lovely activities, such as trivia night! The boyfriend & I were there the other night listening in on Trivia during our meal, and it seemed like a great time!
Would definitely recommend stopping here!

My only complaint would be the parking lot, as it's at a goofy angle and that can make it difficult to park for some people.”

“I perfer to go there instead of Taco bell, because of how things are going in the USA right now, and I perfer to be safe with immigrants than white supremacists to be honest. I always tipped the waiter $5 every time I go there. I'm used ot the Spanish music all the time since I constantly listen to Manuel Turizo's music more often. I'll always support good immigrants.”

“Tuesday Feb 27th, 2024, Our first time at this buffet, 4:30pm, the hubby and I, the place was clean, ladies restroom was clean, even with a language barrier, our server was nice and attentive, and cleared our finished plates quickly, checked for drink refills and brought extra napkins, the food was very good, a lot of various foods, Chinese & American, and a plentiful dessert bar too, the hibachi grill was open so I made a plate for the cook to grill, that was also very good.. The hot buffet foods were well heated, the cold areas, cold and iced, everything was fresh and tastey, nothing looked old or dried out, we both ate our fill and 5 hours later, NO signs of food poisoning as others have claimed in reviews. We would recommend this restaurant for sure and will be definitely be going back when we're craving Chinese food. 😋 We're an older couple and I waitressed for 15+ years, we've dined at some pretty good places and some pretty bad places, but truthfully speaking, we can't find anything negative to say. The only downside is, most Chinese Restaurants or any restaurant in general, you pay after you're done and ready to leave.. Here you pay upfront just like it was when it was a Bonnaza years ago. Accepts all the major credit cards, cash, NO checks as per the sign. Paying ahead, and putting the tip on before even being seated, that is limiting how much we want to tip our server when we could tip more after our meal based on the service we receive vs leaving a 'general' tip amount. I would strongly suggest they change that, I'm sure the servers would appreciate that, and customers who tip based on server quality would like it too, we live in a 'card' world and most ppl don't carry cash, so these servers are stuck with either no tip or a general/minimal when paying up front. That's the only thing I'd change..”
