“I am a sixth generation New Yorker. I moved down here recently and found New York bagels and deli. I only eat chicken salad sandwiches and I have to say they make the absolutely best chicken salad sandwich that I’ve ever tasted. I’ve lived in Paris, France, liege, Belgium, and Maastricht Holland I’ve eaten chicken salad sandwiches all over the world, and these are absolutely the best I’ve ever eaten…. Five star!!!“

“Excellent every single time over the years & never have purchased anything that didn't surpass my expectations.......... stuffed cabbage for take out in different varieties, soups, potato pancakes, baked goods, Christmas cookies they bake themselves always satisfied........ have even purchased her home made masks at the beginning of the covid-19 shutdown,,,,,,,,,, have dined in and usually purchase take out meals and goods for my shut in friends and family members in addition to myself. Most of the people working behind the counter are super friendly and appreciative. Highly recommend this place of business.“

“Very good food at very reasonable prices. Breakfast and lunch here is superb. They even sell poutine. I tried thier bollyfries which is tandoori sauce with cheese and chives on fries. Very very tasty not spicy just savory tandoori flavor. If in they area I'd recommend going. They have a liqour selection a vape and cigarette selection on top of being a well rounded deli. The workers are nice and knowledgeable.“

“I stopped by on my way to the funeral of Fethullah Gülen Hocaefendi. The boss and the employees are very friendly people. A lot of my Turkish customers stopped by today and asked why. I explained and shared our pain. I thanked him very much.“

“I ordered a cheese steak with just sauce, and it was absolutely delicious! It was $9, at 10 inches, and I only waited 10 minutes. The young lady behind the counter was very professional and polite, and was quick to take my order and notify me when done. The cheese and sauce were thoroughly mixed in with the meat and filled the roll. I will definitely be back to try out their other sandwiches, especially the breakfast menu.“

“Good tasting hot food, great, affordable coffee, wide variety of canned, boxed, packaged food, milk (weekly delivery comes in Tuesday morning, and pleasant, efficient staff has made this "corner store" into a whole new shopping experience. Worth the trip.“

“Best customer service here! The owner has literally re-opened his store on more than one occasion for me to just run in and buy cigarettes (I arrived after closing but he was still there). He's hooked my kid up with free candy before and all the cashiers that I've seen are all nice and quick. I highly suggest going to this Skoogys. It's got a small town vibe and makes you feel like an important customer. I'd rather support this store than a corporate place. They got everything from Deli food service..ice cream..tobacco and cigarettes..chips..candy.etc.“

“Amazing food but I noticed their prices have been skyrocketing since covid. Went in and got a patty melt and an order of fries and it was $16. It could very well be because theres only two people working inside and they have to keep adjusting for inflation so it makes sense but otherwise and awesome place with amazing service.“
