“A group of 5 of us visited Dish last night and the meals were amazing. Grilled Squid, the best I have ever had. Where else can you find it not breaded and fried? Add to that their amazing sardines so fresh and good. Pasta Funghi another high. Exquisite detail to taste in every dish. The owners go way out of their way to make you feel welcomed and happy and very satisfied. A must visit when you are lucky enough to get a reservation though other friends have happily sat at the bar for dinner just to be there!! Kudos to Dish!“

“My son and daughter-in-law got married this past weekend Nov.1. we had catering fom Julianos. From start to finish Roseanne and Nick were absolutely 100% amazing! Roseanne helped me tweak the menu, made suggestions and answered any questions I had. The brides choices were tortellini Alfredo, chicken parm, meatballs, stuffed shells, and pasta with salad and rolls.The food was delivered on time..the delivery driver was great!.He went over the order and made sure it was all there. The food was delicious! we got so many compliments from guests! it was such a wonderful day and I would recommend Julianos 10/10 for catering your special day! (and any day for dinner too!) “This is such a beautiful establishment! We ate outside in the courtyard garden area and it was so lively. The waitstaff accommodated me as a vegan, and luckily, many of the appetizers were vegan, and one of the entrees is vegan as well, the pumpkin curry. For dessert we had YUMMY mango sticky rice! This family not only knows how to make amazing tacos, burritos, etc., but they also know how to feed the soul of a community. From their donation based coffee station to their pay it forward meals to their community meals at the end of the day when they have some extra ingredients, everyone is treated with respect and dignity. Elijah was very attentive and always happy to meet my toddlers many requests 😅 Also would like to add that even though they were super busy, it took them less than 10 minutes to get us seated and the food didn’t take long to come out at all. I have been around for over 40 years and have eaten at sandwich shops all over, but Peppi's blew me away. Not only is this my absolute favorite sub spot now, it easily earned a spot in my top 3 favorite restaurants anywhere. It might even be number one.

The Highlights:
* The Food: The subs my wife and I ordered were unreal. Fresh, loaded, and hands down the best we have ever had.

* The Value: The portion sizes are massive for what you pay. It feels like a throwback to the days when you actually got incredible value for your money.

* The Staff: Some of the friendliest, most welcoming people you will meet. You can tell they take genuine pride in their food, their history, and taking care of their customers.

* The Atmosphere: Plenty of comfortable, clean seating and a huge menu with tons of great options to choose from.

“They have so many beers to choose from that I felt like a kid in a toy store, but with the major advantage that here nobody judges you for starting to drink at two in the afternoon. My absolute favorite was the Gristly Bear Brown followed closely by the Porter, though with such a huge variety there are options for every taste and level of thirst. Since trying them all at once is a one-way ticket to talking to aliens, getting a flight is the best scientific strategy. The cocktails, on the other hand, are better left alone unless you want to put your tolerance for liquid regret to the test. Outside they have a lifesaver food truck just in case hunger strikes and you need to absorb the alcohol with some dignity. They accept card payments, but if you pay in cash they give you a discount that makes it totally worth digging through your couch cushions.“

“I’m from Oklahoma and I’m visiting Pittsburgh for work. I don’t usually leave reviews, but this is hands down the best breakfast place I’ve ever eaten at. And we travel a lot.

Everything tasted homemade, and even the butter was incredible. I’d honestly say it was better than Texas Roadhouse butter. I ordered the Imperial Platter with my eggs over easy. I’m usually skeptical when ordering over easy eggs because they’re often undercooked, but these were absolutely perfect. And don’t even get me started on the pancakes and toast. they were the best I’ve ever had.

The service was exceptional. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, and the whole restaurant has that classic small town, mom and pop diner feel that makes you feel right at home.

If I’m ever back in Pittsburgh, I’ll come back just to eat here again. I’d give this place 10 stars if I could!“
