“I ordered the Szechuan chicken lunch meal, which came with pork fried nice and an egg roll. It was ready very quickly (10 minutes), was piping hot, and delivered the heat without being overpowering. The pork fried rice also had nice chunks of pork and roughly chopped onion. Although the prices are slightly higher than the menu posted on Facebook, it’s still a good deal for lunch and I’ll be back since I work in the area. I just wish I got a fortune cookie with my meal though! LOL 🥠“

“The man taking my order at the counter was very kind and helpful. The sweet and sour chicken combo had more than enough food for myself for dinner tonight and lunch tomorrow. I had to try the cheese wontons and they did not disappoint. Favorite ones in the area by far. I also wanted to try the sesame chicken which was perfectly crispy and had plenty of sauce. This was my first experience here and I will be back :)“

Convenient off street parking to run in for your take-out, and the food is always fresh and made timely without long waits. “I’ve been coming here for some time but last nights food was exceptional. There was what appeared to be an older married couple cooking and gathering the orders and the food was FANTASTIC. I will only come here from now on if and when this couple is preparing the food. The general tso, chicken and broccoli with cashew, fried rice, wonton soup and veggie lo mein were out of this world.

“Great food. The vegetables were great. One of the things about stir fried food, is that the veggies often get soft. These vegetables were nice and crisp, not overcooked at all. And the shrimp was very tasty too. The egg rolls were so good, we tried the pork but they have more than one type. The egg drop was so delicious. It has a hint of sesame in it. I had never had any quite like it. Word of warning, the soup and egg rolls are served very hot! I believe it's because they seem to be mostly for to go orders. We ate in and definitely had to wait to eat it.“

“I love beef & broccoli its my go to. But from here the beef is always chewy so i switched to Chicken & Broccoli and its 10x better. Same broth as the beef version which is definetly a plus and their chicken is just a class above their beef. The egg rolls are hit n miss, depends on how recent they changed the oil“

“One of the best Chinese restaurants in town for take out or delivery. Very generous portions, free soda if you spend a certain amount of money and it is always packaged well and tastes delicious. “Golden Star is an absolute gem! I stopped by on a whim, and I’m so glad I did. From the moment I walked in, the aroma of freshly cooked food had me excited. I ordered the teriyaki beef sticks and sweet and sour pork, and wow—each bite was better than the last! “We occasionally order for our office at work, typically $130-$160 order. Sprays hot always fresh always delicious. Delivery driver Pat is one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet! I just wish they would answer their phone before 11am to be able to place our order and give them time to prepare it and get delivered by 11:45-12:00. Other than that, this place is our go to for Chinese every time. Highly recommended.“

“The staff was very friendly, it didn't take long for us to get food... I was initially worried because I didn't see any vegan options on the main board... Just chicken, fish and seafood but the service staff offered us menus and I could see that there were a lot of vegan options and not just super spicy ones either. Our food was delivered quickly and properly. When I asked for extra napkins, we got extra napkins. We were about to return our menus but the worker said we could keep them and take them home. As for the place itself, there's no garbage can and while we had a great view, I didn't see anyone else working to clean tables or the bathrooms in the back.

Dietary restrictions: Vegan selection is better than usual for an inexpensive Chinese restaurant... General Tso's Tofu, Bean Curd with Mixed vegetables, white rice served with lunch special instead of fried rice if you ask), Miso soup, Chinese vegetables, French fries, there was another spicy tofu dish but I can't think of it.

Parking: Shares the parking lot with other businesses as they are located in a small plaza across from Citizens Bank

Kid-friendliness: Not kid-friendly in the sense that there's a kids menu or activities but generally peaceful place with limited seating.

Wheelchair accessibility: There's a small ramp so if you have a large wheelchair, it wouldn't work out very well and the door to the restaurant is small so I'm going to say inaccessible.“

Vegetarian options: Won Ton soup is loaded with wontons, freshly made @ lunchtime. Best egg fu young I've ever had. Plus the vegetables are cooked perfectly every time.

Parking: In a busy area but parking is right on the side. Also, Hazel Mart gas and convenient store is right across the street!

Kid-friendliness: Small waiting area, no tables or anything, but very fast hard workers. Bubble gum machines, and super ball, toy.25/.$.50 machines, they look out the big windows sitting on a bench.

Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to get a chair in there's a small bump, but very small.“

“Only good fried rice in the county, doesn't even need soy or duck sauce. Best chicken wings of any Chinese place anywhere near here. But they will guaranteed burn your boneless spare ribs every time, and they don't deliver at all on Mondays which is the day most people don't want to cook. Egg roll be either dry and burned or burned and greasy. I feel like they have a tendency to sometimes over cook things. This does not extend to their extra crispy wings, which they're the only Chinese place out here that doesn't over cook or burn your wings when you ask for extra crispy“

“Great vegetables. They don't over cook them so they still have texture. The sauces are really good, especially the brown sauce.

One complaint, this is a restaurant and the ladies room is never open. It's always out of order. I drive from Wilkes Barre (not a long drive but a drive) to enjoy their food and then after our meal, I have to go somewhere else to use the restroom. What's with that? Are they too lazy to clean it, too poor to get it fixed. I always thought restaurants with seating were required to offer restrooms to their customers?“

“Ordered pu pu platter, wonton soup, and sweet and sour chicken. Ready in 10 mins at dinner time. Carton was overflowing with chicken. EVERYTHING in the pu pu platter was the best I ever had. Everything so hot and fresh. Will be where I go for Chinese food from now.“
