Unfortunately, Friendly's is not what it used to be. We had been looking forward to eating there many times on our trip to the battlefield. Our experience, that first night, however, made us less than eager to return. The meals are overpriced, and were not nearly as good as we remembered. Their honey-mustard USED to be one of our favorites. At this location, the honey-mustard tasted MORE like vinegar/more bitter than anything. It was so tart tasting, it caused my father to have a coughing fit. When you order a crispy chicken wrap, you hope that it would have a little chicken in it. Ours contained only a few sprinkling crumbs of chicken, not even a forth of a tender worth. Lots of salad. But also the person who rolled them, rolled into them a thickness of the tortilla shell to cover the fact that they were mostly empty - save for lettus and three miniscule bites of chicken. The only plus side is the food was fast (likely because of the lack of actual chicken and abundance of lettus). The restaurant was fairly clean. I'm sure, however, their ice cream is top-notch, and enjoyable.

Unfriendly experience. Waited forever to be seated despite restaurant being pretty empty (first clue). Hostess seemed irritated that she had to take time out of her online orders to seat us. Server was fairly nice, no refill offers, one fly by check in. Can’t fault her. Sundaes came looking like half eaten discarded milkshakes, literally half melted, zero whipped cream and cherries had sunk to the bottom following the melted path of least resistance. Not your typical sundae experience. I asked the busboy if they had run out of sundae glasses and he said they kept breaking and weren’t being replaced. Water was served in a chipped glass. Also - random christmas tree and moldy ceiling tiles. Empty ketchup bottles on table. Go to Dairy Queen or Mr G’s. Trust me, this place gets worse every time we visit.

We decided to stop with our kids to the Friendly’s restaurant in Gettysburg. It has been a long time since we have been to a Friendly’s since so many have closed around where we live. We was surprised that the had a combo meal starting at 11.99 that was a drink, appetizer and meal. I ordered the chicken quesadilla and upgraded app to onion rings for 1.99. My wife got Turkey club and kids got burgers. It was rather larger portions and the taste was pretty good. Our waitress was attentive and the food came out quickly. Everyone except me ordered Friend-Z’s for the ice cream and really enjoyed them all.

Sandwich came thrown together, wasn’t made correctly. Waitress took it back still wasn’t made correctly. I ate part of it anyway. Waitress was nice but there were only two people working and bot one smile. Won’t go again.
Parking: The food was terrible. I have loved friendly's grilled cheese for probably 30+ years until this experience. I don't know if they started using a different brand of cheese or if it was just the location, but it was so bad that I will never eat it again from here. I really hope they didn't change the cheese.

I use to eat here 20 years ago and it was amazing, when I moved away I thought regularly about their famous BBQ chicken sandwich, it was SOOOOO good!😍🤤 This past July we came for a family vacation and came here for dinner and it was just as amazing as 20 years ago!!!! My husband and children love Friendly’s just as much as I do and this location is just superb!! I HIGHLY recommend it!!😁
