“I just joined Five Iron Fishtown and I love it. The location is great and I love the vibes of the inside. The hours are perfect as I generally go to use the simulators before work in the morning and work on my swing or play a round. I’ve also had a few lessons with Senior Golf Pro Matt Davis and I can already tell my swing has gotten better. With the technology they have and following Matt’s direction I feel like I’ll be performing a lot better once I get on an actual course. Highly recommend.“

“It’s harder and harder to find a good cocktail for under $20 in a big city. Poison Heart gives you excellent cocktails, great small bites, and an unpretentious environment in spades. Oysters and waffle fries hit. The Songs About Keri is a quaffable, less sweet version of a good margarita. The Goodbye Horses is a nicely acidic, bright redo on a classic Old Fashioned.“

“One of the best places to become a regular at great drink, great food, great prices. Staff, especially management staff, are lovely and care about their customers. Alone? No problem, they've got cool and interesting people behind the bar who want to chat. With a group? They've got tables for you.

Vegetarian options: Cold spicy noodles, and vegan burgers always available. Great salad option as well.

Parking: Street larking available on Frankford Ave and side streets. Easy to find parking after 4-5pm.

“I came here a bit out of sorts after a personal setback. I needed help figuring out what to drink and a mixologist who I don’t think was on duty guided me to their special and it was such a good cocktail! The service and other customers were excellent. I hope to get back someday when I’m in this area.“

“I love this bar. The service is great! The bartenders are amazing. Especially Misty!! I made a great friend by going here on Friday afternoons when I go to meet my boyfriend on Fridays after work. We always have their food. Pork sandwiches and roast beef sandwiches are delicious. The owner is a great guy and always makes you feel at home as soon as you walk in Cherry Street!!’ I also love their music. They play all the old classics and some recent stuff as well.“

Some of our favorites were the drunken ravioli, the buffalo arancini (so inventive!!!), the chicken parm (make sure you get it with ravioli!), the mozzarella triangles (mozz sticks with an upgrade!) and the eggplant stack! “Unassuming little watering hole. This is the only place I’ve been to that has good wings in Philly in my opinion. Great pub and bar food. Blackened chicken and/or salmon salads are killer. The roast pork sandwich is also great, done in the Philly style. Watch out for those long hots. Good beer selection.“
