“Back on 2012 I would to go to John’s every Monday night for All you can eat pasta with my late husband and 4-6 other family members dept who was at our house or available. Going there wasn’t the same without him and they were so kind as to send a tray of pasta and a tray of meatballs at that terrible time but I went sporadically. Well today Nov13 2024 my new husbands and I were in the area and went to John’s. It was nice to be there and the food was sooooo good like it was back then and the service was as it always was Great! I was so glad we went. there were a lot of new faces. But I did ask for Michelle and heard she is there yet. Keep it up John’s. (Ezra and Anthony wouldn’t remember me but Adrianna would I hope to get there again soon!!”

“Went during the Rotary’s paint night, had a good time. I enjoyed the dirty garlic boneless wings. I don’t know what makes them dirty but I enjoyed them. Enjoyed a Shirley Temple too”

Don’t let the photos fool you—this place is a gem. We tried the pork fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, pork dumplings, pork egg rolls, and crab Rangoon, and everything was genuinely delicious. You can tell it’s all made from scratch with quality ingredients, not the usual greasy or overly salty takeout.

The portion sizes are generous, the food was hot and fresh, and it’s an excellent value overall. The dumplings and egg rolls had great texture and flavor, and the sweet and sour chicken was perfectly balanced—not too sweet or too soggy.

It’s family-owned with friendly, efficient service, and they clearly care about what they’re doing. Definitely a solid choice for takeout, and we’ll be adding it to our regular rotation when we’re at the cabin. Highly recommend.”

“My husband and I enjoyed our honeymoon at The French Manor. The food served for breakfast and dinner was excellent. The view from the top of the hill is really scenic. The staff were kind and helpful. We stayed in the Venice room. It was nicely decorated, but the bathroom would benefit from some updates with the plumbing (water can be forceful at times since it is well water). I would recommend staying in the spa suites as they looked more modern. The spa was very relaxing, and all guests have free access to the sauna and saltwater pool.”

I also love her gluten free baked goods. As a celiac I truly appreciate when someone makes the effort to have a yummy treat available with my coffee. Also, everything is so affordable so you can cheat on your Keurig more than once a week 😬”

“We were driving from Massachusetts to Virginia (we are musicians) and happen to randomly choose to stop at Isabella’s. The food was wonderful-fresh, big portions and delicious. I had the ciabatta grilled chicken with fresh mozzarella, red peppers arugula and balsamic glaze plus really good crispy fries. Husband had the tuna salad which was great too. Highly recommended. “Went in to break Passover with a Bacon Cheeseburger (hey, we all have our own traditions, right? 😀). I ordered the Renegade Burger—and got waaay more than I bargained for. This thing was HUGE...and DELICIOUS! I barely made a dent and took home enough for at least another meal. Very welcoming crowd, and I definitely would go back again (but next time I'd order a smaller burger!)”

“My husband and I have been vacationing here in the Poconos for about 10 years. We are from Maryland. We discovered Cakes and Scones several years ago and ever since, we make it a point to go to our favorite bakery, Cakes & Scones! Always have had the best scones, cakes (esp the chocolate lava cake!!), coffee, quiches, and pies!!!We bought a blueberry crumb pie this year and it was loaded with blueberries and not too sweet, but sweet enough! It was delicious to say the least!! One reviewer complained that they did not have doughnuts—I would refer that said person to check out Dunkin Doughnuts!!Tere and Andy are wonderful bakers, pleasant to talk to and most helpful. We always look forward when we come to the Poconos and check out their latest bakery item!! We have never been disappointed!!”
