“On March 14, 2024, my family went to WH after my mom had surgery at GVH. We were stressed out and hungry and close to the restaurant. We got there and had a lovely lunch in the bar. “Being frequent customers at the East End Tavern and always enjoying their food, we inquired if they would be available to cater a 50 guest family celebration at our home. I met with their manager Sam one morning and she very kindly and efficiently assisted me in choosing all our food selections, giving suggestions and portion sizes that would help us have a successful event. An hour before the party, Sam and Scott arrived at our home and showing great teamwork, they both proceeded to take care of every detail of the setup. The layout was perfect for an efficient kitchen flow. Everyone kept commenting how delicious everything was and all wanted to know who catered the food. There is no doubt that the East End Tavern definitely contributed to the amazing time that was had by all. Nothing less than a five star service.“

“I came in on Saint Patrick’s day with my family. We had an extraordinary time there. The portions were very large which is great for hefty eaters or people who simply want to save their food. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the kids Mac and cheese with applesauce (don’t judge) and it was delightful. The applesauce was slightly crunchy, and had cinnamon sprinkled overtop. The Mac and cheese was delicious and cheesy, I could hardly finish it all. I also had a Shirley temple with it, which tasted amazing. It tasted a bit like strawberry syrup mixed with lemonade and sprite. The service was excellent. The waiters and waitresses were so polite, and since I went there on Saint Patrick’s day, the entire staff was dressed in leprechaun outfits. They were very friendly. The atmosphere was very light and positive, with an older style feel. I 100% recommend going here.Vegetarian options: I personally don’t recommend for vegetarians to go here, as most of Phil’s is centered off of meat, but they do have plenty of other options that don’t involve meat.Dietary restrictions: The staff was very accommodating and would definitely be willing to accommodate to dietary restrictions.Parking: The amount of parking space was surprising, since we went in on a crowded day. Yet we were able to park our car comfortably outside with not too much of a walking distance.Kid-friendliness: They were so polite to us kids, we got crayons and they did not judge the awful drawings we made.Wheelchair accessibility: They had no steps there, and the distance between the parking and the building is a very small and flat area of land.“

“So I moved to this area from Philly a few years back, and it's been like pulling nails to find a good go-to cheesesteak place. Panicos is the closest I've found for that.Panicos isn't the highest quality you can buy up here (that'd be wagyu cheesesteak from Capriottis). And they're not even the best at making a traditional one (Italian Delight). That being said, Panicos makes a serviceable cheesesteak for a good price. $11 and it's decent. Do they mix the cheese in with the meat? Nope...they do cheese blankets. Do they toast the roll? Nope, and the sandwich will probably fall apart halfway through eating it. But the steak they use is decent, and the price they charge is perfect.Those other places I mentioned are $15-20 for similar. Panicos is a great go-to steak place and I'mma keep going there. If they started charging $15 though...I'd switch to Italian Delight.“

“I came in alittle upset bc I was having one of those days and got upset with the staff for asking for a id (aka her doing her job). She was calm collected and gave me excellent service. I am a store manager for a retail store so being verbally assaulted is a daily occurrence. No excuses but she took it well and stayed professional. A note to the owner would be to add a section on the credit card receipt for a tip. There is no way to tip unless its cash and I wanted to leave something but only had a card. Tapping the ATM isn't a solution. I would recommend this business. They have a large selection of liquor and beer.“

“Good local bar they have made some improvements the place is clean bathrooms are clean I went in for lunch was not disappointed with the wings and the hot dog my wife had Sidewinder fries and she loved the dipping sauce. I think the bartender's name was Kendall. A young blonde. I was very impressed the bar was completely full with one group at a table she handled the bar with ease. and I believe she cooked the food and nobody waited for their drink. If she had idle time I noticed her eyes scanning everybody at the bar to see if they were taken care of even the table very efficient. I would go again. It is a local clientele and everybody knows one another. But are very friendly.“
“A great go-to for vegans! Apparently both owners are vegan, so the menu has more vegan-friendly versions of items than the majority of restaurants. And the food is really good. I've had a vegan burger before, and love their hummus, and today I tried a vegan cheesesteak hoagie that not only was super good but also I could only eat half of it and the fries (which are also really good...and you can get vegan ranch). “I was visiting the area last year and looking for a spot to meet an old friend. He recommended this place, knowing I love Italian/pasta. We arrived for a late lunch, around 2pm and it was empty, so we had our pick of the tables and opted for the outdoor/porch area- luckily it wasn't too cold outside. Our server was friendly and attentive, brought our menus and water immediately. I went with the penne florentine and a glass of rose while my friend ordered a panini. We both enjoyed our meals and had a great time catching up. The pasta portion was huge so I had leftovers to finish later at the hotel! Greeted by a beautiful hostess, where if it’s not too busy she’ll give you the option of sitting in the back restaurant area , front bar area, or outside seating (on a nice day) so I choose the bar , only for the mere fact that I just wanted a quick soda along w/ their 5 order of wings (on special). A great deal ! I think I was served by a beauty named Nelly (not sure of the spelling). She was an extremely hard worker , and I never got to tell her how well she served me , along with/ the fact I had a lil crush on her ! Loved the fact that she opened the place early , short staffed and never complained. I wish I told her how much she made my day better ! She also assisted a customer w/ homemade Chile Soup (that her mother made). It was cool, seeing small business thrive. Still got the feeling of a mom and pop place. “We first dined at Mallard about 3-4 weeks after they opened. This is a second time back and they are definitely on their game. The facility is beautiful, the service was on point, and the food was superb. Mallard is definitely worth the trip.“
