In the last week we had Grotto Pizza twice, Wednesday night and Thursday afternoon. I asked for it not to be dried out and it was so dried out, the bottom was so hard, and no taste. I have eaten Grotto Pizza for approximately 60 years and it getting worse not better. So disappointed!

Used to love Grotto at the lake but it’s almost impossible to have a conversation or order food with how loud every band/performer is Thursday-Sunday. Not sure why the owner feels the need to have the bands bring in such loud speakers. I love live music but it would be nice to have conversations with others. Acoustic would probably be better considering how the bar is set up.

Based on the reviews, Grotto Pizza & the Grand Slam Sports Bar offers excellent service, with fast and thorough waitstaff and bartenders. The pizza and chicken Caesar wrap are great, and the wings are absolutely fantastic, with mild, great flavor and juicy meat. The blue cheese has nice chunks. The prices are a little high. There is a live musician playing guitar, and the cover songs are very tastefully done. The game room is off to the side of the enormous horseshoe bar. The whole experience is very nice and easy going. The staff is friendly, and the food comes relatively quick. There is an amazing view of the lake from the bar.
