“My boyfriend and I love coming to Rakuichi for an honest, hearty, and low-key dinner. The chashu ramen and spicy miso ramen both have a delicious, rich broth; a nice ratio of toppings; and are both a plentiful portion. I recently added tempura shrimp to mine and it was super crunchy with lots of flavor!

We are always impressed by the takoyaki which you can tell is made from scratch, with nice chunks of octopus and a glorious mountain of bonito flakes! Even the chili crisp oil on the tables is tasty with a pleasant heat. I like that you can customize the sweetness level of the milk teas, too.

The staff is welcoming and kind, and the food is sent out quickly! The dining room has a cozy, casual feel with lots of cute cat motifs in the decor. It’s an interesting kind of industrial space that has an urban feel, but is still warm and atmospheric. We love seeing how orderly their small open kitchen is - it’s fun to see the chefs in action.

Rakuichi is the perfect spot for a weeknight date if you want a neighborhood joint kind of vibe and a filling meal. We drive 30 minutes each way to come here and are glad to do it!“

“Just moved to the area, this was our first time here. The sushi was good and crab rangoons were so crispy! It’s been a while since I’ve had good crab rangoons anywhere in Philly. All the dishes we saw served, along with our own, were colorful and creatively decorated. Our service was fast and all the staff were attentive and kind.
