Uncover Havertown's Mexican dining scene with Restaurantji's insights.
“The guy was alone when I walked up and the store was closed because I was too early but he came to the door and opened for me which was really kind . I ordered the buffalo chicken pizza and it was so good ? Definitely coming back here before work“
“We love this place. We order food from here nearly every week and it’s consistently delicious. We also appreciate that we can sit outside when the weather is nice.Vegetarian options: They can very easily leave dairy out of their dishes to make them vegan. You just Have to double check you dish because sometimes they will forget and accidentally include cheese or sour cream, but they always take care of it if that happens.“
“The food is delicious when the food is done and we’ll stocked! I don’t like when you get the bottom of barrel food when it look like they don’t refill fast enough. I came around 1:35 pm I thought it will still be lunchtime and I want a bowl but they barely had anything in the pans. So I settle for a bag of chips and that 2 of they good guacamole.“
“We came for a large work dinner and everything was phenomenal. Our waiter, Greg, was incredibly personable and friendly. He knew the menu and made great recommendations. We were laughing the whole time. The food as well was fantastic--some of the best fajitas I've ever had. Will definitely be back next time we're in town!“
“It's an authentic mom & pop Mexican trattoria , which is a must visit. Esp for their Buffalo pizza, of all things. It's the best pizza I've eaten, maybe due to the fact that it was made in a wood fired ovenOur nachos were a bit too drenched in cheese , but it's a personal choice.Soup was good and warmRed snapper was crispy and baked to perfection in the wood fired ovenEnchiladas were made with corn tortillas, but delicious.I'd love to come back. The host/owner is a delight to meet. His love and care in food prep, service and customer dealing is warm and jovial.“
“Really great, inventive haute cuisine real Mexican; well executed thoughtfully prepared. Might have slipped a bit since my initial visit, but that could just be me being super impressed first go-around. Quite noisy on the weekends, be prepared to wait for your cocktails.“
“This hot chocolate might be best in Philly. Super cute, seemingly hidden spot. Service is great. Staff is super helpful in explaining anything and everything on the menu. Prices are pretty reasonable for brunch. Dinner menu prices are better.“
“came in on a friday afternoon for an early dinner. no wait, BYOB, reasonable prices, and truly unlimited chips/salsa (the chips are freshly fried tho!) that I could honestly get full off of with a good drink imo not as good as some of the mexican food on the other side of the river, but if you're in ucity and crave a solid burrito, this is a cute spot! ended up as $21/pp after tax and tip and we had some leftovers too!“
“The food was excellent! I ate the nachos and veggies burrito. We ate at the upstairs bar and the bartender was great with recommendations for drinks and add-ons for food. It was funny to me that the decor is more old fashioned diner than Mexican restaurant, but it worked.“
“I would give 6 stars if I could!!! Such a great addition to Havertown! The food is delicious, love the vibe and the service is amazing!!! The pineapple express wings were AMAZING! I saw some instagram stories saying to get them and our server Marissa (who was the sweetest by the way) sealed the deal by saying awesome they were- she was right!!! I am not a huge wing person and could have eaten 20 of them! The guac is so good and fresh; served with warm chips. My husband and I both got fajitas- shrimp and steak, soooo good! Also the cucumber marg was great, strong (not mad about that) and delicious! Adding this in because my husband is a huge sports guy- the Phillies ended and within minutes they put on March Madness games- no awkward gap where you're watching infomercials for hours (it is his pet peeve haha). So happy that Al Pastor is in town! Can't wait to return!“
