“1st time visit. Nice out of the way bar restaurant. Very quaint building. Ordered burgers and turkey club. Turkey club had real turkey not cold cuts, very yummy. Burgers were excellent. Not a big fan of the French fries but it could eventhing else was good. Service was good and will return“

“My wife and I were on a drive from Brooklyn to Erie, PA, and my wife found this restaurant (also called “The Greek Shack”) while doing a Google Maps search. It was a great find: wonderful views from the lakeside deck, and delicious Greek food. The portions were substantial. I had the Greek rice bowl and my wife had a terrific Greek salad. They also brought out warm pita and tzatziki as a bread plate. The only minor downside is that the restaurant is at the far end of a private development, and you need to stop at a security gate for a restaurant pass. But if you’re in the area, the food is worth it.“

“We held my daughter’s graduation dinner celebration here and it could not have been more perfect. From start to finish, Jessie (event coordinator) was professional, responsive, and accommodating. The food, the set up, and the staff’s attentiveness were stellar. Five stars!“

“My husband and I came upon Chantilly’s as a recommendation from our hotel clerk, coming from CT we were looking forward to some good food! We were not disappointed! The food was amazing, the prices are unmatched and the service was above and beyond! Our waitress and the owners were extremely gracious and welcoming. I highly recommend coming to Chantillys if you are in town. We are looking forward to coming back!“

“The people there are great!!! Although I decieved them of my Uncle's birthday. We, a dozen of us, from out of state where in the area to visit the house he was born in 95yrs ago in Eckley miner's town. They came with cake and song for him. When they over heard my grandson's (9yrs his great, great nephew) birthday was the next day. They did the same for him. Also, When we left there and was waiting for our family to gather outside. We met a women who offered to guide us to my Uncle's parents cemetary. Which would have been a challenge. And by chance, when we reached our destination. Her sister, a passanger, knew my uncle while growing up there.

“We just left and it was absolutely outstanding! With our party of 7 for my daughter's 18th birthday we ordered a bit of everything on the menu. Every person was thrilled with the service and the food was delicious as always! Julia, our server, was attentive and professional. I have always loved this restaurant and will come back every chance we get.“

“I enjoy this restaurant but it’s disappointing that the hamburger patties contain bread filler. It’s too nice a menu (and high enough priced) to be using substandard products. 100% ground beef formed into a patty is basic bar food. Cutting corners with something so silly will save you pennies but cost you dollars, via good customers not coming back.“

“I never leave reviews for places but I have to for here. the staff last night were so kind and compassionate, and I wish I caught the name of the employee who offered my husband and I some coffee after our accident. Though we couldn't eat from our nerves, I'd definitely stop in again just off the kindness of the staff alone.“

“I love John’s! The food is great and if you are lucky to get Sharon as a waitress, she has the best sense of humor with her warm hearted charm! She and Cheri are the most efficient in the breakfast morning moving along like a fine oiled machine. Warming the coffee just in time for the next sip, Always getting the order correct, very attentive to every customer not just their own. Sharon makes me laugh-a nice start to the day! Now thats a great waitress! John is fortunate to have these two ladies who work hard to bring about a great dining experience! Highly recommend the place.“

“Come here often. My service is always timely. Never had an issue with waiting. The original owners have a 10 star. The new owners started a little shaky but are picking up the pace nicely. The food is good. Friendly hometown atmosphere. This area is lucky to have such a great variety of restaurants and Toms rounds out our selection nicely. I’m well satisfied.“

Edit: I figured I'd give an update, food is still good and service is great.
However my main complaint would be with the drinks and cocktails. Compared to other places they are fairly smaller and twice the cost. Also it seems like the total content of alcohol in the drinks has decreased, which kind of turns me off from ordering more. Since the portioning seems to have decreased but prices increased, and then the total content also decreasing it feels like the price quadrupled. I definitely feel when it comes to drinks other places offer a better value.“

“I just want to say to our very kind server today, THANK YOU. I was experiencing a sugar drop and she recognized it and brought my salad out immediately. As a recently diagnosed diabetic I often fail at seeing my cues and knowing when it's GO time but she did!! I thank you 1000 times over for saving me from yet another faint spell and injury.
