“We stopped here for a quick breakfast before we headed home from a brief trip to Jim Thorpe. My wife is from NY and was really hoping for a good, authentic NY bagel. Buddies didn't disappoint. We both got BEC on an egg bagel. The bagel was spot on and the sandwich components were tasty, cooked just right and were proportioned perfectly to the size of the bagel. If we ever make our way back here we will be sure to stop again!“

But, having said that, if you preview their nutrition facts, see what foods fit into what you like, and pick what is least detrimental for your particular diet, they will work with you! For example, I called ahead of my visit to be certain that there wouldn't be any issues if I ordered off of the children's menu for myself. There weren't! “This is a lovely diner at the top of the Mtn in Freeland. We walked in and were seated right away. A lot of breakfast selections to choose from. We had the HeMan breakfast which came with 3 eggs, choice of meat, 2 pancakes, home fries or hash browns, toast, juice and coffee or tea. I ordered it because I like having a variety of foods to eat. I ate as much as I could but did not finish it. It was a lot of food for a very reasonable price and I will get it again because it was extremely tasty! Everyone we came across was very friendly. The restaurant was clean and welcoming. The parking lot isnt very large so try and come at a time that it might not be so crowded.“

Everything was fabulous including the price and to top it off I received a carnation with babies breath and two chocolate covered strawberries!! The staff were very friendly and our server was fantastic and assured us that our gluten free food is handled and prepared with much care . My wife and I have gluten allergies and our food was fantastic! “Stopped in looking for a nice place to have breakfast with a nice atmosphere. Heard this place just started serving breakfast and decided to stop. Let me tell you this really hit the spot. The menu was so hard to chose from, everything seemed appealing. Did I want something to satisfy my early morning sweet tooth or something savory? I went for the Bobby D's special. It was recommended by my waitress, I believe her name was Kyrah. She was amazing! Very helpful, polite and made sure we were taken care of. Will definitely go there again!“

“I wish I could nominate Mary for employee of the month. They happen to be understaffed waitress wise tonight yet Mary is bubbly and giving 110%. I’m not sure why accessory staff isn’t help the only two waitresses bus or clean tables but Mary just keeps on going. Mary is top noch! “I had lunch here for mother's day with my Mom, Sister & my Nana. I have to say this place is really an unknown gem. Disclaimer, I'm a home owner, my opinion may be biased... but in the Spring and Summer months during nice weather conditions especially this is a fantastic eatery for families and something more intimate and romantic. The food is certainly above average but the price that's where the wow factor comes in...it is amazingly cheap given the scenery, atmosphere, service and quality of food. I don't drink but yes there is a bar w/ plenty to drink, I imagine.“

The minute you walk in, you're greeted by the friendly hostess, and our waitress was pleasant and very attentive. When she placed the menu in front of me, I could hardly believe my eyes. There were so many options to choose from at good prices. It took a while for me to make up my mind with the variety of dishes the menu. I ordered the crab panini with fries and easily could have shared it with my spouse. It was such a huge portion that I needed a box to take half of my meal home. (Which I thoroughly enjoyed the next day.)You won't leave Tom's hungry or disappointed. I suspect anybody dissing this place in the other reviews must just want to keep this place all to themselves.“
