It is a racing themed bar (although you would only know that based off the name) but they host a lot of car shows, outdoor concerts, bbq's and fish frys. If you are looking for a younger crowd, this is definitely not the place. But you can still be guarenteed a great time! Only con I could think of with this spot, is the pricing. Drink specials are rare and the menu pricing has gone up. But the prices are still worthy of the food and the service. The portion sizes are huge (try a stromboli, its all the food you would need for a week) and they are great with custom orders. This is the type of place where everyone knows everyone and if you dont know them, you will before you leave. IMO-one of the best spots to go after work on any night for a great meal, a cold drink, and even better people.“

“Had a memorable dinner experience at PowerHouse Eatery recently! We made reservations at Powerhouse Eatery for dinner a few Saturdays ago because we had heard really good things about it. It has a really cool and unique industrial vibe and an interesting story and history story for sure, I liked how they maintained some of the features from when it was a power plant prior to being remodeled. The industrial ambiance adds a unique touch to the dining atmosphere. We were seated right away, the service was good, and the food was delicious, but took FOREVER to come out. The staff is kind and the woman with the purple hair (I apologize not knowing if she’s the owner or the manager) comes around to each table to check on the guests. “Welcome to my next review. This is Torony's Giant Hot Dogs! Now this is not the original location. If you are from the area back in my youth, this being the late 70's and early 80's, they were located on the corner of route 315 and jumper road in Plains. Speaking with the owner today I was told when PennDOT widened Jumper Road they were forced to move. After that they relocated to a building on Main Street not too far from the arena. Now as the owner told me the second location just didn't work out, so they eventually moved to the current location. Now as per the video it's a nice size location, not too big or too small. As I walked in I did speak with the owner off camera and explained why I do food reviews and in my own way help supporting the locals. Now as per the footlongs, I got one with just mustard and onions, and the other with everything being the mustard, onions, and the sauce. Now for the dogs, I didn't taste a snap, but these were grilled nicely, you got a good number of toppings, the chili had a unique taste, different from all the others. Now they do offer fries and burgers and other items but today it's all about the dogs. When we go Hot Doggin' we don't rate the hot dog we celebrate the hot dog with those awesome condiments. I'm always cold and I was comfortable but my guest was sweating. We ordered wings and a side of fries. Everything came out cooked well. I got the red garlic which I assumed would be a tomato based sauce but it was more like a thick vinaigrette with garlic. It was good but not what I expected. The up charged celery was four very small pieces, I'd recommend skipping it. Service was good and the fellow diners were par for the course in NEPA.
