“This is my review from Yelp for the new CASTLE SHANNON LOCATION. The pizza pops! I mean that in a great way and wanted to start the review out by saying so. I was excited when I saw the 'coming soon' sign. I've never had their pizza before but looking at the website, the pictures were enticing. I even called the number for the CS location. I got Greg who was in there doing last minute stuff. He told me when they were opening, he was really nice about it. So let's get to the pizza, shall we? It's square. The crust is light, crispy and flavorful. The sauce is ZEE best (See how I did that there). I love square pizza and I go to other areas to get it because we haven't had good square pizza since Jim's back in the early 90s. Now we have Jimmy Z's and I couldn't be more thrilled. Having grown up in the city, it was a staple and a treat to go to another pizza place. I won't say the name, but it sounds like Leedos. Where they have square pizza and cold cheese on top. I would go there despite the numerous times they were out of pizza (Yep no lie) and the staff just needs to attend "Sunshine is Us' school of customer service. But I put moody teens aside and trudged there. Now, no more. I don't have to. I get better pizza from Jimmy Z's and ... and I get service with a smile. They are so polite and welcoming. I also tried one of their Zoagies. If you get one, get it with everything. They're absolutely ZEElicous. When I find a place I like, I am like an old faithful dog. These people are gonna get tired of me.”

“Had to give The Lab five stars due to the absolutely out of this world food! My husband and I travel all over the country, mainly seeking out destination restaurants and let me tell you the food here is on par with that of the some most prestigious places across the country. My husband said he would rate the ribeye in his top five EVER! Other dishes are creative and delicious as well. Very cool atmosphere, makes you forget you are in Washington while you are dining. I will mention service could have been much more polished to match the food and ambiance. The majority of our question about the dishes where met with an “I’m not sure” from our server. Not really acceptable to not know the menu frontward and backwards when trying to deliver a fine dining experience. However the quality of the food and cocktails helped us over look the lack luster service. So ecstatic that this restaurant is in our neighborhood. Blows away ANYTHING Pittsburgh has to offer! We will return soon!”

“I am probably at the point where I order here at least once a week now, it’s not just pizza delivery, it’s an always easy, fast and friendly experience. The food is absolutely amazing! Consistently delivered in half the estimated time, hot and freshly made. The staff from delivery drivers, house, to management are consistently friendly, fast and great with communications about your order. Then the deserts, skip the 6oz, go right for the 12. (Chocolate Mousse Cake) just like the pizza, always fresh and absolutely phenomenal.”

A few times, a gentleman who I assume is the owner, brings us a little plate of crab and mango “on the house.” Sushi scraps they don’t want to go to waste I imagine? Regardless, it’s a sweet gesture! The staff is SO friendly. I have yet to have a bad experience here. 10/10!”

“Thank god I found this place before I left to drive back for Michigan! That sandwich was absolutely amazing, the bread was soo soft, they load up the meat, the veggies are fresh! Don't get me started on the bakery!! Their cookies were fantastic, but haven't gotten to the cinnamon roll yet. They have an icing frosting and a cream cheese frosting for the cinnamon rolls. For cookies I had their pecan, chocolate chip, peanut butter cup, and white macadamia nut and they had so many other ones. They were all so soft and flavorful! Only regret is that I didn't get more. If you are in the area, you don't want to pass up this sandwich and bakery spot! Everyone was so friendly. Thank you!!!”
