“Loved dropping in here on a Saturday. Very relaxed vibes walking in here, perfect for a relaxed meet up, coffee or quick bite. My wife and I ordered the Ume Plum Tea, Vietnamese Latte, Khang’s Special Banh Mi, Crispy Tofu Banh Mi, and Doenjang Butter Fries. The Ume Plum Tea is so unique, and their Vietnamese Latte is the best I’ve had. Their food portions are big, and will definitely leave you full. Highly recommend this place!“

“We used Tina to cater my uncles surprise 70th birthday party. The brisket was delicious and is a must try! The potato salad was so creamy and seasoned perfectly. The crispy chicken was tender and juicy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. The pierogies, pear salad and cabbage were also super tasty, all the guests were complimenting the food. Jesse who came to set up was pleasant, efficient and friendly, we will definitely be using Tina for our future catering needs!“

“Brie was our Barista! Made an amazing oatmilk latte. I've had these before but this one was different. creamy and delicious! She told me the oatmilk isn't found in the stores around there. They get it special. Along with that I enjoyed a toasted perfectly thick cut sourdough sandwich with salmon and house made bacon horseradish cream cheese. It was amazing. The hubs had a Moroccan Mint tea and a delicious bagel. We will be back for sure. If you haven't been it's a must!“

“Sunday was my first visit to Zakes Cafe. The food was tremendous. I had the blueberry pancakes, the home fries, and bacon. However, the potatoes and the bacon were cold when they reached the table. I realized that the restaurant was busy, so I did not send anything back. I will return. However, if the food is cold again, I will send it back. Also, the coffee was very, very good.“

“When I look for coffee, I make sure it is a good roaster. Ultimo Coffee are exceptional roasters in Philadelphia. I have been visiting them for 5 years now. They mostly sell washed process coffees which I prefer over naturals or anaerobic etc. Their Pour Over coffees are really good, espresso is excellent.“

“We just moved here. Walked in to ask for a takeout menu. It felt so warm and inviting and the staff behind the counter were so friendly that we decided to stay. Our server Jessica was very welcoming. My wife enjoyed the corned beef special on gluten-free bread. She said it tasted like real deli corned beef. I got a large hunk of Reuben quiche (it was Quiche of the Day) and it was delicious! Large chunks of corned beef, cheesy, and a yummy crust. The hostess even gave us some to try and it was delicious - sorry I can't remember but it was a round roll with savory cheese inside.Breakfast:We ordered eggs for breakfast but I don't think this is their focus. Eggs were cooked a little heavy / and there weren't any accompaniments customary with breakfast (potatoes or slices of bacon or meat). "American diner breakfast" is my personal preference I won't fault them for that.Beverages:I also didn't have anything to drink because I usually order unsweetened iced tea and they didnt have that. My husband said that the coffee was average.They have a lunch menu as well.Only a few small tables inside and a counter so probably best for takeout.They were packed at 0630 with contracters and landscapers picking up self serve pastries to go.The signage outside and premises inside (worn) do no justice to this gem which serves outstanding Brazilian bakery items. I regret I did not buy some other treats to try!! Mantolato has been very fresh and tasty. There is variety of many products. “An opportunity to see a nice band, Southern Avenue, in a small venue. Sound was pretty good given the confines of the space which has glass all along the side of one wall. Service was mediocre. While the menu was interesting, seems like the kitchen was having issues with execution. Needed another couple runners and probably two more waiters/waitresses with a full house. Won't go back for food but if the music is good would get a seat at the bar.“
