“the girl on the phone answered me very rudely, it took me a couple of seconds to hear her voice because the noise around me prevented me from placing an order, I didn’t hear her and she was angry and hung up. I called back to complete the order, but in response they picked up the phone and disconnected the connection. I changed the star to 4 just for the sake of their pizza, it's really tasty. and the owner himself politely asked to correct this situation by responding to my review. Also the veggie Panini on their menu and online says grilled eggplant, instead it was two large fried pieces of eggplant on each half. The food service was outstanding! Came and spoke with us several times, the chef came out, and said hello, our waitress Heather was absolutely incredible so efficient, and yet so loving! we were spoiled rotten! Everyone took home so much food because the portions were enormous. The prices were totally reasonable. “Ordered a chicken pesto Stromboli and one of the reasons was the sun dried tomato’s. Unfortunately it came with regular tomatoes which made it watery. Sun-dried tomatoes are more expensive than plum tomatoes and the flavor is very different.if they were not available the server should have mentioned and the price should reflect the difference. Very disappointed and only had a couple bites.“

“I’ve been coming here since 1964 and it’s still just as good! Hands down- best pizza in Philadelphia! The brothers/brothers in law have retired, but one of the sons is carrying the legacy forward. All they sell is pizza and soda, and only beef and beef pepperoni toppings. It’s no frills, but worth the ride I make every so often from Chestnut Hill. I only wished they took credit cards and stayed open later, but I understand. If you’re a pizza snob like me, do yourself a favor and try King of Pizza?“
