“My boyfriend and I stopped in here with another couple on a Sunday. We'd heard good things, so looked forward to stopping in. The woman serving us was very friendly and attentive. We tried wings, chicken fingers, fries, fried mushrooms, burgers, and drinks. The wings were nice and crispy, the fingers were good, the fries and mushrooms were really good, the burgers were just so-so (I like crappy dive bar burgers, but these were underwhelming with stale cold buns). The bartender suggested the jalepeno ranch for the wings and my boyfriend loved it. We also couldn't decide between the regular and beer battered fries, so when we only ordered the regular, the bartender brought out an order of the beer battered on the house to let us try them (my boyfriend loved them). I will say, I was a bit disappointed when we showed up because I had read reviews and looked at pictures and had my heart set on having fish, tacos, or a meatball sub, but it wasn't until we showed up that I realized they were all only specials and not regular menu items. We'll definitely go back and try the specials.“

“Food was phenomenal as always. The French onion soup is on point every time I've ordered it. Staff was very well managed, polite, knowledgeable and capable of high turnover. There was a bit of a wait for seating but worth every minute, other guests were just as friendly during our wait . Highly recommend!“

“We had a great time. Mel was our waitress and she made our evening awesome! She was friendly, fun, and gave us a great idea when 2 of us wanted gyros, but you were out of pita bread she suggested wraps, which kept us happy as customers and made the sandwich really good.Good enough in fact that I might order it that way the next time I'm there.Wheelchair accessibility: They have an older gravel lot, but cement ramps going into the restaurant, which makes getting in very easy.“

“Fantastic! Andrew was our waiter for a table of 10. He was on it while waiting other tables as well. Food was delicious and portion size just right. They allowed me to bring in our own dessert to celebrate a college graduation too. Good selection of beers/ciders/mixed drinks. I definitely recommend Talbots if you are looking for good eats when you’re near.“

“We chose to eat here for lunch for my husband’s birthday at 11:30 on a Sunday, with a party of 11. We knew this was a large ask! The hostesses were wonderful and quickly got us a table all together even though we said separate tables close to each other would be fine! The food came out in a timely manner and was all delicious. Even my picky eater nearly cleared her plate! Everyone was incredibly kind and patient. They were also very helpful with my nephew’s dairy allergy. We live near Pittsburgh and would (and will) happily take the hour drive to enjoy this place again!“

“One of the best burgers I've had! The fries didn't look impressive, but were cooked to perfection with a nice seasoning. Great service and beer selection too! I would layer the burger a little differently than served. I wish that the lettuce was underneath the burger patty to block the juice on the bottom bun since it is a thick juicy patty instead of trendy thin smashed cooked burgers. The burger was cooked perfectly. Fresh toppings. Thick tomato slices, high quality pickles and the cheese melted just right! I assumed from the location and the logo that this was a chain place. It's not and I kinda wish it was being from Ohio. I cannot wait to have another Blackout Burger!“
“This place is a little slice of heaven tucked away in Mercer, PA. The staff there are so open and inviting. I stayed 2 nights with friends and golfed, ate and enjoyed myself so much. It made me feel like I had known them all my life. The food was amazing. Had breakfast, lunch and dinner there and the food was amazing. The golf course is extremely well manicured and a great course for the outdoor experience. I highly recommend this place for someone looking for good food, great golf and making new friends!Dietary restrictions: Home cooked meals and had choices other than deep fried foods.“

“Let me start off by saying I LOVE a good diner! So when a friend & I were in the area we decided to try this place. Right away the waitress had a matter of fact tone with us that wasn't exactly rude but it definitely wasn't friendly either. I didn't think much about it until I overheard her with other customers and her tone was different. I also couldn't help but notice that all the other customers were decently older than us. We got our food and it was delicious! However the waitress wouldn't know if it was or not because she never decided to even bother checking back with us, not once. In fact I had to go get HER when we were done and waiting for the check and my to go order as well. I'm not sure if it was just us or if she has something against younger people but it was very obvious after paying a bit of attention that she def didn't care for us for some reason. Anyway the food was definitely really good and very well priced. I'm glad I got to try the food here but overall I don't see myself eating here again. I was really only here because one of the best diner restaurants I've ever gone to; Yellowcreek up the road, was closed.“

“I visited this dinner the other day and want to express my concerns about the service. I am local resident in the area and have dined here multiple times over the years with the family. The food was excellent as always. This review is about treating a repeat customer like they are worthless and not providing customer service satisfaction. As I went to pay the bill, I seen a sign advising of a 4% surcharge. I have been in the merchant service industry for 9+ years and have a solid working relationship with multiple big players acquiring banks and can write contracts with any U.S. merchant. I keep up to date with laws, policies in the industry and trends. I have serviced merchant accounts all over the U.S. since 2015. A year or so ago, one of the card brands made the announcement that the maximum surcharge you can charge is 3%. I tried to explain this to the cashier, but she didn’t care…. She then pulled the manager to the side and told her what I had said. The manager didn’t come over to counter to have a conversation. She talked from 6 or 8 feet away. I wanted to advise who I was and my background in the industry. I want to help them to make sure they were compliant with the card associations. The manager wouldn’t discuss the details and walks away. Advising that’s how they do it and that is how their processing company does it. I didn’t have enough cash on me and just used my credit card with the 4% surcharge fee. The cashier signs my name for me on the terminal. I said “No” redo the transaction and allow me to sign. She gives me the receipt and it didn’t have any line about surcharge with then grand total. When surcharging is being done, its very clear that the surcharge amount is printed on the receipt. I tried to explain this and nobody would listen or have a conversation. I decided to just leave and file a VISA/MasterCard complaint. As I am saying goodbye to family on the sidewalk/parking lot, the manager comes out and yells about how I talked to her cashier. If the cashier had listened and took my card or info and passed it on to the owner or when the manager got involved, she had a conversation and took my information to pass on to the owner this could have been resolved. Nobody wanted to discuss and remedy a problem at the register, but it’s fine to follow me out to the parking lot and confront me and my family outside. Yes Folks…That is what I said !!!… The manager comes out of the building and tries to start a fight/argument when we are in the parking lot going to our cars. I am very disappointed with the level of customer service and professionalism with the manager that evening.“

“Great small restaurant. Stopped for breakfast. Home fries are deep fried, probably out of a frozen package. Decor and furniture seem new. Certainly clean. Coffee was excellent with little acidity. Wanted onions and mushrooms with beef, forgot to do that, as the special was 3 Cheese omelette with home fries. Good service with quick refills. Mercer county PA. Georgetown road. Nasty snowy rainy weather. A good place to rest the wings. Food acceptable, not sure how homemade.Parking: At a corner of 2 roads.“

“Outstanding. The marsala sauce is in my top 3. Super tender lamb chops. When I get a flight of beer I usually hate at least 1... not here. The brew master is top notch. This was a perfect anniversary dinner. Pricey but worth every penny. Thank you Kamryn R. for outstanding service.“

“Great service, great food! We had stuffed ourselves with nachos and other things from the bar before or food arrived and wanted ice cream so we brought half of our main dishes home and made our own desserts. The kids love that stuff!Kid-friendliness: Gummies and sprinkles and lots of other yummy toppings for them to put on their Ice Cream.“
