With just two weeks’ notice, Georgia helped us plan the menu and took care of every detail. When more guests arrived than expected, the team quickly added seating and adjusted the food without missing a beat. “All five stars? Well, it must have been Saturday, I must have gotten a rack of ribs with extra sauce that were smoky good, and the bartender must have done a great job taking my order and getting me a beer.

Seriously, I was absolutely impressed by the ribs. Cooked over charcoal or wood because the smoke ring was perfect, as were the ribs. No fat (NO fat!) and just a slight char on the ends. There are a lot of great rib joints around Youngstown, and since it's harder and harder to find roast lamb on Saturdays, ribs are my safety pick. The ribs at the Royal Oaks were perfect, better after I got them home and slapped them in a casserole and baked at 250 tightly wrapped for like 40 minutes. Absolutely great flavor that will impress anyone who likes a nice rack of ribs.

If the reviews were decidedly good, inside a magical atmosphere. Impeccable Service and attention of the waiters. Prices as high as the quality that the place reserves. I had the fish with mushrooms (which I shared with my chauffeur for the day). Tom had a 3 meat sub and was very happy with it.

You need to try them out. But make it early they close at 2pm.“

“We go here once a year for a family birthday. Having two young kids, we get the family fish fry dinner to save money. This comes with battered fish, fries, and coleslaw and is to feed four for $48. The past two times we have done this, we’ve had enough leftovers for lunches the next day and they give us large take out platter containers. Tonight the fish serving was a joke. I don’t know if they gave less because we had two kids and assumed they’d eat less or if this is the new standard serving, but it was extremely disappointing. My husband and I had two pieces and the kids had a piece and a half. We cut back eating tonight so we could bring home 2 pieces and some fries. Like I said the last two times we had large platters left over. Some waiters don’t even know about it as I assume it’s probably take out orders that usually buy this platter but some consistency to the portions would be much appreciated. The picture online shows about 16 pieces of flounder. We had maybe 10 and some of them were half stripes.

Our waitress was good and time waiting for our food was pretty short. Food was good. Time waiting for a table was long. We were told 10 minute wait that turned into 45 minutes.“
