“The parking lot here sucks. However, there are some of the nicest workers here. I do think it can be beautified a bit (swept, wiped down, etc) but I do tend to come during breakfast rush. I know there's not much to do re: parking but it really is a bad lot “
“ Locals bagel and breakfast sandwich spot, generally busy with good flow to its business. Prices are high, but you get what you pay for - bagels loaded up with ingredients.A few seats and tables available inside, also a few tables available outside, not many.“
“This location is very quaint, but I liked the small building because I was in and out. The server had trouble understanding me but her coworker helped and I was able to get my food quickly. I appreciate the smiling face ?Parking: It's a small location but I had no trouble getting a parking spot.Wheelchair accessibility: This location is wheelchair accessible.“
“I have Lebanese step-family. Every summer, we would go visit my grandmother and I have long considered her food the gold standard. That's often what middle eaten food is: traditional. If you stray from tradition, it usually gets worse, not better. Suraya manages to bend tradition just enough and in just the right ways to surprise and delight those familiar with traditional Lebanese cuisine. It is glorious.Pretty much everything I've eaten here has been the best of that type of food which I have eaten. Their labneh is the best labneh. Etc.The Fatteh is one of the top 20 or so best tasting dishes I've ever eaten in my life, and I regularly hunt down the world's top restaurants.Service is great, atmosphere is very nice, but I almost don't care. You could sit me on a rock in a field and I would love this food.“
“The baked goods are SO FRESH we came in at 10 am and got the ham and egg, taro bun, pork bun, danish, and Vietnamese coffee. Everything was so tasty the pork buns and taro buns are the best thing!! Id have an idea of what you want before you go in, theres a lot of options and its a bit of a tight space that gets crowded easily. Pineapple bun isn’t filled I think fyi. Bring cash if you can its just easier and probably cheaper.“
“I have enjoyed this place since it opened! The staff is magnificent. They are personable and take care of you! The atmosphere is wonderful. It is a wood decor. There is not a lot of seating inside, but there is ample seating outside. There is a good size parking lot (approximately 15 spots) and more parking right out front. The food and coffee is wonderful! The lattes are not extremely sweet of the syrups I get. This is a preference of mine real and strong coffee locally roasted!“
“Persimmon is the loveliest coffee shop in Fishtown. Everything I have tried here is standout. The service is exceptional and the quality is unmatched. I typically enjoy a drip coffee but their seasonal lattes are SO thoughtful and delicious. So much care and attention to detail goes into this place and it shows :)“
“Great coffee, quick, friendly staff, cool decor, really slick looking espresso machine. A little crowded but well-managed. I talked to the barista about his job and I could tell he really takes pride in his work. I got a perfect Americano. They roast in-house. This is the micro brewery of cafe's. The pic is a cool light I saw in there.“
“Really a unique experience. Food was amazing and fresh. Happy to see someone willing to take a risk with their food and not open a restaurant that's just like every other place in the area. There are plenty of pizza places around and they all serve the same restaurant depot food. Steel Penny is top notch!“
“I love stopping in because the coffee is that good. The cafe can be a little crowded and noisy but in this virtual world it is nice to take a break from the house to work elsewhere. They even have some outside seating. Staff is always pleasant and they have a great selection of coffee and tea beverages.“
