“We were in PA for a graduation and before leaving, we were fortunate to eat at Café Tolia for Mother's Day Breakfast. I had the Egg and Cheese Breakfast Sandwich with Smoked Salmon and OMG the Brioche Bun, everything, was DELICIOUS!

The staff was so friendly and patient with our party of 7 and our orders :) and pulling together the tables to seat us.

It is much smaller of a space than Madis Coffee Roasters (Twisted Grounds has only a few small tables to sit), but the staff is equally as kind, friendly, talkative, and enjoyable to be around. You can quickly tell that the team here has a great rapport with each other, and it makes the atmosphere comfortable and fun to be in. They have super cute merch and engaging conversations. “I’ve walked by this spot so many times, and it seemed every time I was hungry they were closed (closed on weekends) but today I finally stepped in. I ordered 2 bánh mìs and a Vietnamese coffee. Pete, the owner/operator of the spot was the only one there and we instantly jumped into great conversation about the music scene in Philly back in the late 90s. We ended up knowing a lot of the same people. Philly is a tight knit group. So even before eating the food I was already a fan of this spot. Pete served me his special take on Vietnamese coffee while we talked and he made the sandwiches. The iced coffee was excellent, but different and less sweet than Vietnamese coffee I’ve had in the past. He also used ice cubes made of coffee which was an added bonus for a coffee junkie like myself. After we talked for nearly 20 min, I walked home with my sandwich and WOW! Such a solid bánh mì! I told him to make it like he would make it for himself (spicy) and he knocked it out of the park. I’ll be back and I’ll be bringing all my music friends here when they are in the neighborhood. I highly encourage Olde City residents as well as Philly locals to give this place a try!“

“IL Sorriso Cafe has become my go to spot for studying or getting work done on my laptop. It has a nice atmosphere - very bright and spacious, and there is great service from Besi. It’s really nice that he takes the time to have conversations with his customers, my brother has been a regular here for years and would agree. I always enjoy the food and matcha lattes. “I just came here today. I've seen them working on constructing this for a min and wasn't sure about it. First, the atmosphere is perfect for studying and small conversations. Secondly, the food is genuinely OFF THE HOOK AMAZING! I recently visited Brew Room Coffee and was genuinely impressed. The quality of their drinks is outstanding—rich, smooth, and expertly crafted. Every sip tasted fresh and balanced, making it clear that they take pride in their coffee.

The pastries were equally impressive. Fresh, flaky, and full of flavor, they paired perfectly with our iced coffees. The pastry in the photo was absolutely delicious—crispy on the outside, flavorful on the inside, and clearly made with care.

“My husband and I went to Meadowlark Bakery and Cafe this morning after learning that they hosted a Thanksgiving dinner for those who needed a place to go. We try to support places that support those in the community and do good. We’ve been there before for coffee and pastries, which are amazing, but we never had any other food. We have been missing out! We both got a breakfast sandwich and they were amazing! My biscuit was light and buttery, our eggs were perfectly fried, and both sandwiches had generous amounts of breakfast meat and came with tots. They had a wonderful Santa for the kids and a nice warm enclosed area for eating. Meadowlark, thank you for being a part of our community and helping those in need.
